hi to all...i have a stampede that ive put a castle 5700kv motor and sv2 castle ESC. not even 1 minute into driving it the ESC gets real hot....thats not normal.ive geared up with an 86/24 to no avail. i know the stampede isnt made for that set up but i want it faster.what would be a nice set up that will have that motor, esc run good in that stampede....thanks for everyones input.....thanks

rong motor & geard rong. i went thru da same thing. if u hav a smallr pinion lyk 15t. try it 1st. a temp gun is necisary heer.

if it still 2 hot, ditch da 5700 & get a 1410 3800 motor. bout 65$

put ur gearing @ 21 87 & go frum ther. i havnt radar'd it yet, but id say mid 30s?

Actually that motor will run just fine in a Stampede. I would adjust your gearing and check for any binding.

Spell check anyone?? The problem is your gearing. Its a stampede, you cant run a 24t pinion with stock sized tires.

Call castle, your esc could have an issue. Did you play with the timing at all? I definitely think you need to drop from 24t though. Try 21 at most and then play with your spur. If you want something faster change to smaller tires like the ones the rustler uses.

Really? I've never actually ran one of their motors, haha. I've used several of their controllers though.
