Sled Puliing
I'm looking to get into the rc sled pulling and wanting to get a sled. I would like not to spend so much money on a store bought one and Ihave resorces to build one. I have all the neccessary welding equipment and whatever is needed. I was wondering if anybody has ever built one or had plans to build one? I would be willing to pay for a plan or if Ican look at some good pictures of some and get some ideas. Thanks for any help.

If nothing else, these should give you some design ideas.

RE: Sled Puliing
We had a local pulling organization start up this year and i got in on it. Its a whole lot of fun. We have a lot of different classes that include a lot of scratch built stuff, but i have been running the monster truck class. Here is a video:

Here is a picture of my wifes truck sitting with the sled behind it(and her first win/trophy) as well as sitting beside my truck(without the weights on it). A sled wouldnt be real hard to build. Like was said, the main thing would be getting it geared correctly for a 30ft track.

Pulling is cool. Though it seems like simply using a force meter would be pretty effective, but probably not as cool as actually pulling heavy objects.

My lhs has a used one he is trying to sale. I think they said either 100 or 150. Not sure how much shipping would be but if you are interested I can give you their number.
