Hello and sorry because I miss the message,

here is my brand new Fa 18 FEJ with a P200 SX inside. Weigth is exactly 24,6kg with 4,2 + 1l fuel .....but no weapon under the wings and no fonctionnal rudders (just aileron with 30%exponential and it is perfect !!). CG is 198 mm from leading edge and setting same as OlNico. 30° flap are necessary for a smooth take off and 20° or more for landing. Note on picture the weathering effect who give a real "warbird" touch !! Here a picture from Jetcat P200 . With this Big Bird, I'm a very happy french Jet Pilote . Bye

Congratulations.
Mine is still flying very well. 29 kg wet with all the weaponry and scale additions as well as the B-300F. I'll get it out again after the hot season.

I have a 1/7 scale F-18 from Fly Eagle that most recently was posted in the RCU Market Place for sale. After reading a few entries to this post and seeing more flight videos of this plane, I am beginning to lean more toward assembling the plane for personal use. Just curious, did you use the pipe that came with the kit? Also, was it necessary to modify the engine area to install the P-200. [8D]

I heard that there was problem with the pipe of origin FEJ, I thus ordered other unje at US TAMJET. In the balance sheet almost the same mass +( 60g ) but especially a better quality and thus a better return. It is important considering the loss of power with the Y pipe . For the installation of P200 I moved it at most (see the photo) and I modified the wooden supports for better one. For the electronics of the engine (ECU, etc.) I installed the all component near the engine by removing one small tank.

Any updates on the new airframe or landing gear? What is the new weight of the honeycomb airframe?

See my converted Behotec C50-F with Lado's electric actuators.
I decided to convert the originally pneumatic system at my 2009 - FA18 F Fly Eagle Jet, with the electric one.
All the three legs are running at 2s Lipo (separate power supply) due to the heavy legs.
At 7,4 V the drive has no issue with the heavy weight of the legs.
Still using the pneumatic system for the gear-doors.
Sequence between gear up and closing doors is about 14 seconds - regulated by a jettronics doorsequencer.

Would someone be old enough to measure the width of the model with the stabs attached?
Secondly the length from the tailcones up to where the fuselage splits in half.

I need to decide if it would fit in my car.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks Salibaj, that's quite helpful.

I'm afraid though it's missing the one which could really be the problem, the width of the model with the stabs attached.

Hi! Alanjets. I have one of these f-18 almost ready for the maiden flight. What CG are you using? Did you balanced the
jet with fuel? Thanks in advance.
