HPP-22 Runtime error (Answer from Hitec)
Hi all,
I was running ver 1.04 of the HPP-22 program without a problem. I uninstalled it using the uninstall file in the Hitec directory and then installed the latest version v1.11.
Now as soon as I start the HP-22 program I get a Run-time error "6':Overflow.
I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 with UAC switched off.
I have tried uninstalling V1.11 and reinstalling V1.04, that does not work. Also tried resinstalling V1.11 but the same problem persists.
It doesnt matter whether I have the HPP-22 plugged in before starting the software or not, same result.
Can anyone help?
Many thanks
Gordon

RE: HPP-22 Runtime error (Answer from Hitec)
I tried my HPP-22 for the SPECTRA and also having the "a runtime error '5' invalid procedure call or argument" problem.
Learned from this:
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1324426
This time, I uninstall my HPP-22. Then delete the directory in:
(if you are running Windows 7 32bit)
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Pro gram Files\Hitecrcd
OR
(if u are running Windows 7 64bit)
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Pro gram Files (x86)\Hitecrcd
After than, install the HPP-22 software in Administrator mode.
Now, the "a runtime error '5' invalid procedure call or argument" problem disappeared!

Hi iLan,
Thanks for the file.
Maybe I did not make myself clear, the program installs ok. It is when I attempt to run the program that I get the error.
Still does the same.
Thanks
Gordon

RE: HPP-22 Runtime error (Answer from Hitec)
I sent an email to Hitec support and received the following answer:
Thank you for choosing Hitec products. The v1.11 has a bug in it that does not allow it to run properly. We have placed a link to version 1.10 back on our website for the time being until the bug has been fixed. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Thank you,

RE: HPP-22 Runtime error (Answer from Hitec)
Odd that only a few have problems, must be the PC set up. My setup works well with V1.11,1, so have not tried the following whichmay be of interest..
"Here Is How To Fix RunTime Error by "TestUser01 "
"I originally posted this in the Hitec forum and have been asked to post it here. The error type and the fact that the HPP-22 software would not see my A9 ( errorcode ) but would see my receiver led me to think that there was a configuration file issue. And there is. It may be related to the unpacker ( embedded Windows zip ) not unzipping the file correctly ( due to file embedding ) or just a corrupted file or the file saved with the wrong type when it was saved to the install package ( by Hitec programmers ).
The problem is with the file name Inet_Product_Version.txt. The file is not using the proper EOL/NL/CR whatever you wish to call it at the end of each line. Therefore all lines run together to make one long line instead of 10 short lines.
Here is how the file should look ...
0/1.11.1/7/0/HPP-22/
1/1/OPTIC6SPORT/
2/1/OPTIC6SPORT 2.4/
3/10/AURORA9/
4/201/SPECTRA 2.4/
5/100/OPTIMA 2.4/
6/1/AGGRESSOR SRX PRO/
7/1/HTS-SS/
8/1/HTS-Navi/
9/3/HTS-Navi_SPECTRA 2.4/
The file is located in C:\Program Files\Hitecrcd\HPP-22\Updata. ( or whatever drive you installed it onto )
Position at the appropriate place in the file and press the enter key. You will end up with a file looking like the above. You will now be able to use the 1.11.1 version.
The first line contains the version number of the current installed release. When you start the HPP-22 software, this file is read and the first line is what determines if you see the message that a later version is available. If you have a copy of the previous file, you can edit it and change the version level, save the file and copy it to the correct sub-directory. "

later a further Q&A by "TestUser01 "
Q. I opened my file and it looked exactly as you have shown below. I didn't touch it. Perhaps it is your machine with the issue?
A. "Could well be. However, this version of the HPP-22 software is the only one that I get the runtime error on. I am using the same Windows unpacker also. As well, I have downloaded the version on several different days. I take it that you are getting the run-time error also?
Edit your file in Notepad and save it. Then copy over to sub-directory. Also be sure to not use the Windows uninstaller but the one that is in the HPP-22 folder. "
