Upgraded to WHH M5 upgrade to the Zen. New rudders, relocated tank, relocated water pump, added remote kill switch, tach, other small bits, and radio gear. That was the first pass....

Upgraded drive line to 1/4" prop shaft, no clutch, and new strut. Dropped in a Gizmo Motors 29.5 full race mod with pipe. She has yet to hit the water with this setup.

And a few props....

Man that sounds saweet! Let me know how it runs. I thought about rerouting (is that a word?) the water outlets through the fake exhaust tubes just for a little realism. Im probably going to eliminate my clutch in the near future after hearing about all the hassle everyones been having with them. Keeping the motor stock until I get used to the boat.I took the wing off and drilled some 5/8 holes (6) across the back where the wing was for extra cooling. Also put some foam inside the canopy in case I loose it , it wont sink (stranger things have happened) Lookin good! Dont forget the video as well.

Water outlets are the same. Shortest way to get the water out the better. I relocated water pump closer to the engine and used a stiffer line to drive it. That will cut down the pressure to drive the pump. I used the stock clutch with the M5. Never had an issue. Replaced the bearing once, 145min on that setup. 47.3mph/15959rpm with 6717/3 on GPS.

I got rid of the clutch due to the hp of this monster. Had to upgrade the drive line. I spun one stock cable with the M5 mod. Go with 1/4" prop shaft. 3/16" is too small. Hit anything with that shaft it will bend/snap. There goes your $75 prop....

Hope to have her out soon.....

I picked up this BJ cheap. It was gummed up from sitting. I hand ported the Zen 260m, lightened the piston and faired it in along with the transfer ports. I used a walbro 257 carb and used the stock pipe from pro boat. I replaced the duel steering servos with a hi torque sail winch servo. I made my own rudders with the post in front without the tab and replaced the water proof box with all those screws and used a four sided snap top tuperware box. I installed a remote kill switch and threw away the accordian boot and used a piece of carbon fiber tube around the push rod and used shrink tube and grease to seal. I used 3M 5200 to seal it in the transom , it never gets hard and flexes with the push rod. I set the strut neutral and used a grim racer 67105-3 prop. I put in some spoon and more cup to help it out of the hole, converted drive to 1/4". I kept the clutch and water pump. I also replced the fuel tank with a 600 ml IV bag. This video was made in a very small lake and was having a hard time getting it up to speed. 58.4 on my Eagle Tree with GPS Check out some of my other 28 bentoad videos.
