Ok, so I'm trying to figure out which lipos will work for it, considering the battery box is 143mmx47mmx31mm

As far as 2s lipos, almost all of the standard 2s lipos will work, even 2s race hardcase packs that use bullet plugs in the case itself, as long as you use 90 degree bullet plugs.

Here's a nice Turnigy 6000mah 2s 25c hardcase lipo 132x45x29mm $27: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=19169

For 3s, I've been looking on HK to see what will work. I've come up with these:

Turnigy 3s 30c 3600mah lipo 137x42x22mm $26: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=14966

Zippy 3s 30c 4000mah harcase lipo 137x47x32mm $29 (I'm really interested if we could get this one too fit, best specs I've found so far and hardcase): http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=16769

20c Version too $27: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dproduct=16767

Zippy 3s 30c 5000mah hardcase lipo 137x46x32mm $37(Even better? 5000mah?! Maybe a typo on the dimensions, but i would go to some lengths to make this fit.) http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=16770

20c version $31: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=16768

I coming from my knowledge of 1/8 e buggy (racing) the 3s won't need as high a c rating as the 2s. I'm willing to bet 20c will be fine for 3s and 30c for 2s.

IMO, I want this thing to do standing backflips and be really torquey. That's what made my Flux and MERV so much fun. I also doubt temps will be a problem, considering it's a 4 pole and it has 1/10 electronics for a smaller truck.

As far as upgrades, I plan on picking up some Blitz ESE Shocks for it, those things were the best 1/10 shocks I have ever used. Super smooth, easy to build, and they didn't leak. Aluminum shock bodies, caps, adjusters, and tini shafts. I'm also going to pick up some sway bars (made a big difference on the flux), a Traxxas 2075 waterproof servo on ebay for $15, and some 2.2 st wheels with Proline Masher 2.2 tires and Proline Badlands 2.2 tires.

As far as wheels, I'm trying to figure out if any st wheels have offset to the to make it more stable. I'm sure it will have all the turning it needs regardless. Anyone know if some wheels have more offset than others?
Be sure to read all posts on this subject carefully, owner has already clarified, 51mm wide will fit (just). That opens up a heap more possibilities.

Think this lipo will fit? [link=http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbycity/store/__14083__ZIPPY_Flightmax_5000mAh_3S1P_20C_hardcase _pack.html]LOOKIE[/link]

its 1mm thicker then the specs...
Although thte width was a bit more than the manual says, I don't think the height is negotiable, especially with a hard case. But since the battery is enclosed in this car, I really don't think a hard case is needed.

What is it with the random posts on this forum from people with one post?

What's with all these companies claiming these high speeds and can't back it up. Don't advertise it if the cars engine can't handle the heat. just for a few more sale's , they loose out replacing more motors and esc's due to this.

I will be keeping a close eye on temps first time out and will fine tune the esc with the castle link.

Did you read the caption below the picture? It says, "Check out what just came in the warehouse!" so that means that HPI USA has them and will be shipping them out.

I must say I don't run 10th scale at the moment I did for years but when I did I really liked the castle 2 pole motors so I am excited to try a 4pole. I guess I am safe being it's a 4pole going up a few teeth on the pinion. Only thing I can say from what I read about the xs so far that I don't like is the battery tray , seems I may not be able to use allot of my packs and I heard the shocks are plastic. I had 4 slash 4x4s in the past few months , one stock and a few with a mamba monster and 2650kv castle motor and 2200kv , this is going to be my replacement for those and I really hope it handles better or at least aswell. I luved them but I just needed a change , I usually switch my rides up every few months and always hang on to my really expensive cars. Anyone have a few more pics?I want to swap for the mm pro also but the only problem is I wanna beat this rig , take it in the snow , rain , mud ect and the pro is not waterproof. Only other system that is , is the vxl's by traxxas and I hated those .
Well HPI plastic shocks I've had good luck with, unlike some other companies plastic shocks(looking at tamiya). Can't say I've ever damaged an HPI shock, and seeing I have 16 between my 2 savages, 16 from RS4 MT's(replaced 2 sets of MT1 with 2 sets of MT2 due to mods), 8 from RS4's, and 4 from the Brama 10b (cheapest shocks out of all the HPI's I've got) none ever broke, bent, popped a cap, or leaked that I can recall. So plastic shocks on it are the last of my worries.

Are these "minis" 1/10 or 1/12? Doesn't look like 1/16 to me and it's no where to be seen on Hpi website.
