Default AR6200 Receiver from oomodel.com

Has anyone purchased one of the AR6200 Rx from oomodel.com also in the Buy & Sell section? If yes how is it and how long did it take to get it?

Be aware - there are clones of Spektrum receivers out there, that Horizon won't support, and this may be one of those.

At least the Hobby King Spektrum compatible receiver has the decency to be in a different case with a different brand name (Orange) instead of trying to masquerade as a real Spektrum receiver.

Not saying that it won't work just like one, I don't know. But if anything ever did go wrong, you may not be able to get any local service / support.

There's an outfit that Spektrum warns about on their website (koko, I think?) that's making and selling clones of several spektrum items.

I sent a message to the oomodels and I got a reply from Viki as follows;
It will be around 85usd shipped by registered air mail for 2 of the AR6200. It usually take 2 to 4 weeks for air mail to arrive depending on the customs. They are the same as in the picture in the RCU add.

So I might order two and see what I get.

Two things; they may be counterfeit and/or not supported by Horizon as mentioned and the AR6200 has been discontinued and replaced by the DSMX capable AR6210.

just ordered 2 ar6200's from oomodel website and cost $59.00 shipped to CA. i know spektrum pulled the dsm2 ar6200 from production to produce the new dsmx/dsm2 version so i think this is left over stock in chinas production line. well i gues i will find out but 2 ar6200's for less then the price of 1 here in the U.S. sounds great

the same website was selling the older dsm2 dx6i's pretty cheap until they sold out because spektrum changed to the new dsmx. my local hobby shop had some of the older dsm2 dx6i's and was told to send back for restocking of the dsmx dx6i's, so it makes you wounder what happened to all the old stock in china where all the spektrum stuff is made? no one has said anything about these rx's that i can find so to me its worth the gamble i will let everyone know when i receive them, but they do claim they are spektrum and sell under the U.S. patent

ok i did a range check with my dx7 today on all my rx's. 1 ar6100e, 1ar7000, 1 ar6200, and the 2 OOMODEL ar6200's. checked the rang by holding bind button and walking away from the rx. with all the rx's i was able to walk the whole length of a football field 300ft so i stopped testing beyond that point. to me that shows these rx's are well worth the $26.00 they want for them. i can tell the wires and plastic used are different then my real spektrum rx's but they bind and range check the same.
