Look at em using that shrimping terminology lol. That would work or if you want somthing fixed you could even use somthing like a fishing swivel in the middle its what ever you perfer on that
A fishing swivel also sounds good, I'll have to look around the fishing store.

Hey Michael
Is there a boom cable that goes from the boom to the rear of the boat?

Yep If you look at one of the stern shots of the Harbor Light where the nets are hanging at the top of the stern boom You will see it hanging slack hooked to a turnbuckle it goes from there to the end of the outrigger

I just wanted to chime in, I know nothing about shrimp boats or rc boats. Only found this thread because of it being on RCU homepage. But this build and your boats are freaking awesome!! Very cool to see - definitely going to follow this one. Some great modeling going on here. Keep going, can't wait to see the final product.

Thanks BlueApple.
Believe it or not this is only my third boat I have ever built. Although I normally build Giant Scale Warbirds.

Thanks Bob
I still have to take everything apart and paint the rigging. And I still have a couple more pieces of tubing to solder on.

Michael,

I'm looking forward to seeing your build.  Think you called it an "open deck" where everything on the same level?  Any way, it will be interesting to see what your build brings to the model.

Time will tell.

With Michael as a "Technical Adviser" the temptation is almost overwhelming.  About all I really need to do is get my pdf plans printed and decide if I want 40" or 48".

Scratch always did 'tickle my fancy'.
