COMP ARF Corsair with 3W157TS maiden flight video
OK guys, here are some picture of my Composite ARF Corsair, powered by a 3W157TS.
Barry (u2fast) and a couple of friends maidened it for me today. All went well (Barry made it look easy). 3W157 has more than enough power. Barry used half throttle most of the time. I don't have a muffler. So, it sounds great too.
Pictures were taken by Greg Walker.

[img]More info on this airplane.
1. According to Barry, it is as easy to fly as a Top Flight GS Corsair. He suggested more elevator throws than specified on the manual, as he used almost all the elevator during landing.
2. I follow Sam Parfitt's build thread on almost everything.
3. CG is set per instruction book: 1/2" in front of the spar, when looked from the top of the wing.
4. It is a plug-in wing. I ended up adding 4.75 lb of nose weight. Total weights is 54 lb.
5. Servos: Flaps: 4 Hitec 5645, Ailerons: 2 JR 8711, Elevators: 2 Hitec 5645, Rudder: 1 JR 8711.
6. Dynamic Balsa cockpit, Warbird Color paint, Star-and-Bar stenciles from GetStencile, Normenclature from Tailormade Decals.
7. Smart-Fly EQ-10 power expander. 2 Fromeco batteries for receiver / servos. 2 JR NiCd batteries for ignition.
8. 3W157TS engine, with Menz 32-12 propeller.
Here is a picture with two gull wings:

Brian,
Your Corsair has some nice realistic weathering. Sorry to hear you lost it. Do you plan to build another Comp ARF warbird?
