False bind.
Recently I have experienced a problem with a Dx6i and an Ar600 combo and a Dx8 and Ar8000 combo, both in models that have previously flown. What happens is that I switch on the Tx then the Rx and the bind LED on the Rx comes on solid but all the servos start twitching but I have no control from the Tx, I have to switch everything off and then rebind the Rx in both cases. This does not happen every time. Can anyone shed some light on this please.

RE: False bind.
Hold the transmitter a few feet from the model.
Also, for clarification, you're talking about linking, not binding.
Binding is forcing the receiver to memorize the ID code of the transmitter. Linking is turning the system on and establishing an RF link and control

RE: False bind.
Yes this can happen - BUT the motor typically will not work
I have seen it twice using DX8 and 600 rx
The "link"appears ready but servos are extremely jerky and no electric motor control .
Shutting off tx and turning it back on ,has in each case established normal linkup - no other changes whatsoever were made - model was not touched . never any in flight issues
Apparantly this "scrambled" linkup is a hiccup in the system -it will not fly so it is not a danger.
Anyone at the home base who can shed a little light on exactly what this is ?? -and how to be certain the hiccup is not indicative of other issues.
