Default Turnigy TGY 9X and 9X8C radio system

I have a Turnigy TGY 9X transmitter with a 9X8Cu2 receiver. This is a first time start up of this unit.(I also have a DX6 which works great). The problem I have with the Turnigy is that it will not bind the motor. It works all the servos perfectly but no matter what I do for the motor it does not bind. I have tried three different controllers, three different motors hooking them up in as many configurations as I can think of with no luck. The symptom shows itself by:
three musical beeps followed be three same tone beeps and then a continuous beeping.

Anybody got an idea how to get this transmitter and motor to talk to each other?

Sounds like you need to trim the throttle tab down till it stops beeping.

1. Are you connecting the ESC to the throttle channel?
2. Have you tried to reverse the throttle channel? (IMPORTANT: remove the propeller first!)

When I setup my 9x, I had to reverse the throttle channel to get the motor to arm.

Buzz.

Matt Kirsch hit the nail on the head-I'm in business.
