Default Larger scale versions of toys

I'm sure all of you have either seen, owned or played with one of these at some point.

I've had one of these for a while now and I've fallen in love with how simple it is to fly ( you can just set the throttle and it'll stay still)
I'm interested in buildinga larger scale version of it using the same rotor concept but about the size of a 60 size heli for outdoor use and possibly capable of carrying a camera and was wondering if any of you could give me a rough rundown of how hard it would be to do this?
I would imagine setting up the rotor head would be the hardest part but I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to building aircraft so would appreciate any advice anyone can give.

Thanks in advance

Why build one when you can buy one RTF?

This isnt a 60, but rather around a 50 size.

Here is one about a foot smaller... and cheaper

Thanks I didn't realise they made them that big it's certainly useful to know.

I'm basically interested in making my own heli using the gyro stabilizer setup all those smaller toy helis have, and was wondering just how difficult would it be to actually construct that so that it behaves like the smaller ones do (IE just stays in place if you let go of the controls).
It looks simple enough, just have that weighted stabilizing bar in place and have the rest of it balanced out correctly making the centre of gravity right under the rotor shaft.

Is there anything else obvious I’m missing here?
