Default anyone use a ansmann xbase 2.0 se?

hi ive just got my first rc car and its a hpi sprint 2 flux with hpi plasma 3000ma 7.4v lipo battery and a ansmann xbase 2.0 se charger, im not sure on how to use the charger correctly and wanted some help?

ive set the charger to lipo charge at 3.0a 2s but the volatage setting is different to what the battery says coz the charger can only be set to 8.4v when the battery is 7.2v? i looked in the manual and it said that 8.4v is the max cut out volltage for the 7.2v battery? is it ok to use this setting coz i have been as i thought it was the only setting close to my batterty?

once the charge is complete should the charger say.... charge complete or should i just keep an eye on it untill it charges to bout 8v then take it off like i have been??

any help would be great

also im only getting bout 5mins run time when im using the battery?? is this about right?? ive got the lipo saftey cut out on on my car

You should get about half hour out of that battery. How long are you charging for? mine charge right up to 8.4v then the charger starts to bring down the amp's takes about 45-55min.

Its fine.. if you are using a lipo the max charge it can handle if its a 2 cell is 8.4 volts if its goes over then you are in trouble it will stay at 8.4 volts for ages until its fully charged..... just make sure you have it set to Lipo and you will be fine.. to be safe charge on balance.

If you are worried then watch the numbers go up.. if it goes over 8.4 then stop it straight away.. if u have the balance plug in.. the charger should have some safe guards built into it if it goes over 8.4 (4.2 per cell) or below 6 (3 per cell).. which is what you need for lipo 2 cell..

If you are only charging to 7.2 volts then you are only about halfway charged not even..

cheers
