Mine is on the assembly table now. Can others share how they did their throttle servo setup, mounting and linkage? I am using the G23 magneto ignition engine. I will post some pictures as it goes together.

Thanks

I am using a G-23. I mounted my fuel tank inside the motor box. I mounted the throttle servo inside the cockpit in the floor mount.

To remove the whole motor, just unscrew the motor box angle mounts and unhook the servo clevis, and slide it out.

Friend told me how he constructed his plane's skid:

"I made the skid from two different hardwoods, one light in color one dark alternating (just for looks). I soaked the strips in water and built a jig to mold them into the curve, then glued them with Titebond (it works on wet wood OK). I made a small alum. plate for the tip, countersunk the screw heads to make it smooth on the grass side. Screws are 2-56, lock-tight the nuts and trimmed the excess screw to the top of the nuts. If you look closely, some of the laminating separated a little, turns out this acts as sort-of a spring to soften the tail."

I have been building my Maxford 68" N28. I'm doing Electric. It comes with a wood box to mount the motor further forward. Looks like I may not even need any spacers.

Covering is some sort of flim. Can't tell what kind. It comes with some spare covering to fix boo boo's. LIke when I put a screwdriver through the fuse. I spray coated it with matte finish.
Monster Power 160
Gens Ace 25C 3300ma 5S and 6S in series
APC 16x10 prop (gonna switch to an 18" prop soon)
Hobbywing HV 70A ESC
Hobbywing 5A BEC
EXI 227 digital coreless servos

Like any arf, you have to take the instructions and do some small mods. I had to break some light ply and shove the batteries all the way up front. Also have some small machine screws to secure those gun mounts on better. I used epoxy instead of CA with how I heard they flew off. I'm on grass so I did not put the wheel on the tail but cut the skid down to be more scale.

Very happy with the plane and it's value. I put in about $500 total + the scale Maxford guns less the batteries that I already had.
Was about 8-10 hours of building total

Sweet!

I love mine. G-23 in the nose. I sprayed matte on mine also, and also did the gun upgrade. They haven't flown off yet!

Nice electric conversion.

good question - I thought I knew how, but...

Simply click the "YouTube" icon located on the far right of the toolbar above in the editor window.

2) This will provide the opening and closing tags for your video. Now all you need is to find the YouTube video number and place it within the tags.

3) So you will now see {YOUTUBE} {/YOUTUBE} , now go to the YouTube page with your video. Look in the address bar at the top. You are looking for the web address. It should look something like this, which is the address for the video below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nG4Ag...ature=youtu.be

Highlight the youtube link, then click the YouTube button above the area you are editing (gray button on the right).
It will then surround the youtube link. (click the QUOTE to this post to see what I mean).

One problemthough , you don't have a proper Youtube Link, youtu.be is NOT a properly formatted youtube link that will work on the forum apparently.
But after clicking on your link it brings us to the correct YOUTUBE link for posting.

Hi everyone, I hoping someone might pick this entry up.

I have just purchased one of these second hand but new if that makes sence but the kit is missing the under carraige. Can someone please give me some measurement of high wide at the connection to the fuz and then how wide at it's maximum width and then the height so I can manufacture one

Thanks heaps

What did eveyone use for the matt finish. I'm thinking rustoleum flat clear which seems to be a choice among many to paint film covering.
Also, what is the diameter of the wheels.

I used Krylon Matte Clearcoat stuff. Multiple Light coats. I think I did 3 or 4. Only like 10 mins between coats. Go on too much and it turns into more of what looks like an oil shiny coating.

I had to add 2lbs of nose weight to get it to balance!!! I have a DLE 20 with a pitts muffler on mine. Great looking plane, what a shame all.of the hassle to get it ready for flight.

Here is mine. I've had it over two years with only about 40 flights. I think mine is an older version. The ARF took a few modifications, can't remember exactly what now. Had several engine outs. SPE 26 gasser was worn out. Installed new bearing and rings, now fixed. Also re-did flying wires using springs for tension which makes it much easier to assemble at the field. With large batteries up front, didn't have to add weight except heavy hub. After axel broke on engine out landing I redesigned gear to have shock absorbing. This really helps. The roll rate is slow. I have about twice as much up aileron as down and a lot of rudder mix. It snap rolls and spins great. Three point landings work best.
