MK ARROW 60 KIT
I have a perfectly preserved MK Arrow 60 kit for sale. Until recently the box had never been opened. The plan has never been unfolded and the contents undisturbed as from the original factory packing. As a bonus for a collector, the box is in excellent condition with only small damage on the corners. I will attach photos if anyone is interested. I can securely package the box as it culd be sent internatinally by registerd post. Its a shame to let it go but that's life.

RE: MK ARROW 60 KIT
Dear Sir, I am very interested in your kit. To me this is on the top three most beautiful planes from the golden pattern era.
Please let me know how much you want for it. I live in Brazil. Would you ship it over here ? I have an excellent feedback score on ebay.
Thank you. Caio.

RE: MK ARROW 60 KIT
OK fellows.
It looks like there may be some interest in the Arrow kit, so as I am new to RCU trading,I will give you a brief history that may or may not releive you of some doubts in buying from a "newbie"(.actually I did buy a "as new" OS 108 thru RCU.it was a dog)
I am 78 years old, been modelling all my life, live in the best part of the world-Australia.My ebay name is "mispamela" 205 perfect feedbacks, buying and selling, all modeling gear.Prefer PAYPAL for protection to all.Never any problems.Flew pattern for years, then nasty helis for years, now back into gas and large electrics. I just love buying and selling new and old stuff, never make a profit but great fun.
A few years back I was sure I was going to"die".So started selling all my goodies and then didn"t "die". felt sorry for myself and started buying again. I kept 3 kits - MK Arrow 60. Kato Silent 90 ( now that is quality) and Sig Morrisey Bravo for my older age .Sold all the good Great Planes and Jap kits.
The Arrow kit was never opened as I had both a Atlas 60,Funkey Arrow 40 and Funkey Skymaster.I've now got lazy and instead of building just buy the good quality ARF direct from HongKong.
Tomorrow,Monday, I will double pack the kit and take it to the local Post Office for postage cost to US and Brazil to give you some idea of freight cost. postage at cost only.It will be expensive. There are only a couple of odd places in the world for no postage and I am only to happy to send it anywhere.
Price ?????? lets see if any offers. As I said this is a collectable and very very rare to find one in this condition so price will be steep.
I'm attaching some photos to verify the condition of the kit.

Now that is interesting, is that box lid for this kit? Skymaster box lid, Arrow plans...What airplane does the wood belong too? If it is a 'previously unopened' kit one might have expected the lid to match the contents...just say'n, that all...

RE: MK ARROW 60 KIT
Evan,
MK kitted the Arrow and Skymaster using the same cover art. The left side of the box which you can't see in these pics shows the Arrow. I agree, rather confusing, but it was MK's way to advertise. I think they did this with older kits too.

RE: MK ARROW 60 KIT
My arrow kit has the actual Indy R/C invoice from January 1983 for $159.90 plus $2.50. This was a combo deal as Matt mentioned. An ST X61 RE with pipe was included.
Running this through a depreciation calculator gives a current equivalent price tag in 2011 of $370. Wouldn't it be nice if we could buy current top of the line kit/engine combos for that price?
John

RE: MK ARROW 60 KIT
Yes I bought the Arrow kit off $bay for $530 lst year with a set of Mk retracts included, it was in Adelaide South Aust where I live so it was a nice pickup, no postage deal:- I am currently nearly finished a scratch built one, I will post more on that soon.
my most desirable MK kits are Arrow, Magic, Joker and Curare.
I would Expect a Arrow kit to sell between $400 - $600 USD Depending on condition and Shipping, You may get more here in Austalia
as the shipping would be less and high end kits are almost imposible to find here
That is My opinion

RE: MK ARROW 60 KIT
HOW MUCH IS A MK ARROW 60 KIT WORTH ???????
This is a Vintage Pattern site and I can therfore assume most have built (as destinct from assembly) some of the great pattern ships over the years. Bridi,Great Planes,MidWest, Golberg and then of course all the Jap kits that swamped the market. Most of the kits were built in a hurry to get flying as soon as possible. Some kits were good, some not so good, but some great designs from great flyers that flew very well. The Jap kits were different, they were pure genius from the packing down to the wood selection to the prefab. You took your time building a Japanese kit, it was like building high class furniture on a small scale, every join was perfect, every block shape superb. They usually came out heavier than the locals and probably flew no better but you always had a pride in what you had built. To anyone who has never seen or built a MK kit, this would appear garbage. To those who have built the quality Jap kits, I am writing to the converted.
I would say there are more MK kits, unmade in workshops around the world than any other kits only because it seems a shame to disturb such a kit. Few come on the market because modellers just do not want part with them.Have you noticed there are no ARF kits of MK designs. Just too hard to get that great shape.
The person who buys a MK kit today will either be a collector who wants it for the beauty he sees in it, or a builder who will enjoy the buiding probably more than the flying.
How much is this kit worth.....$80.....$510.00
Actually I am a little sorry I brought this up on this site as it gets very personal and you get to know the individual you are dealing with making decisions harder.EBay much lesspersonal.
