1/16 T-72
Guys I am in talks with some very talented craftsmen about producing a T-72 Kit in 1/16.
Please be totally honest. Is there an interest in this tank? I am also considering a new medium other than plastic or metal for the basic hull. Carbon Reinforced Epoxy Resin.
I know you all want a modern tank that is fair in price and amazing to operate.
My plans are to use an SLU, and torsion bar suspension.
Any thoughts or comments at this stage are very very welcome.
Oh it comes standard with a stabilized gun, that is far better than Tamiya stabilizer.

If your guys can keep the price point in the HL - Tamiya range I will buy one. My Leopard needs something to hunt.

Hey Don!
Whatever happened to that "Tamiya tank" that you got the green light on?

RE: 1/16 T-72
To be honest I would love to see some 1/16 modern battle tanks like the leopard 2a5/6 or the m1a2 abrams but not too big of a fan of the t-72 now if you have them build some abrams that are about the same quality as the heng long tanks and I will def buy at least one. Just my 2c. But either way good luck with your venture!

A Centurion would be a dream come true. Heck, any WWII British tank would be a gift that is long overdue. But a Centurion is my first choice.
My second choice is a Centurion.

If someone were to put out a basic T-54/55...with all the variations and upgrades to this tank that parallels our Sherman, it would be like the HL Pz III or Mato Sherman and open up dozens of possibilities for modelling. The T-72 is more dangerous to its crew than to its enemy. Still, a Centurian would be nice [:-]

Yes. I have 2 of these in 1/24 (Vstank) and would love to have one in 1/16. The better gun stabilizer and SLU will certainly make it more appealing. Thanks for pursuing this; I hope it happens.

Bill! It's a freakin' RC model for christs sakes! Who cares what it did, does, doesn't do. You're lost in reality man and someone needs to throw you a life preserver.
The Sherman is my favorite tank and it's short comings mean nothing to me. The T-72 is a bad lookin' tank and would be pretty cool to own as an RC, other than that long azz barrel.

RE: 1/16 T-72
Put me down for one. I wondered how long it would be before someone did CF as a base
Key to any successful kit will be keeping it in the same range as existing kits.

Hell yeah I'd be interested especially if it's the older T-34/76...but like everybody else you'd need to keep the price below the Tamiya price-point at least(which is a bithigh if you ask me)...if you could make a $200-$300RC-able kit that would be perfect!
Israeli Merkava would be soooo cool!
