Default PETEC - HELP with YS parts and service

Dear Petec :

I'm Petya , from Brazil , you helped me A LOT with information about the procedure for replace diaphragm and plunger in ys engines and then as regulate them.

Unfortunately, in two of a total of three engines that I bought used, even after the replacement of parts, I could not hit a good idle , there were leaks and the engine got too hot.

As a 3th (YS91) engine was excellent after replacement of same parts, I think the 1st (YS91 too) and 2nd (YS110) had a mechanical problem.

So I decided to send both in for repair in YS Nevada.

By tracking the mail, I had the confirmation that the engines arrived on August 23 as you can see below ...

Tracking number - EB037244023BR
"Your item was delivered at 11:54 am on August 23, 2011 in MINDEN, NV 89423. The item was signed for by D VAPUN."

After that , i sent 3 emails to [email protected] regarding the engines and on budget for repair, and got no answer.

Do you have direct contact with them? Can you help me get some information?

T H A N K S !!

Please , sorry my poor english !!

Dear Petec :

After the service , yesterday i made the first flight with the rebuilded YS 110 . The engine performes very well , with 20/20 glow (100% klotz synthetic) and 14x10 APC prop .

But when i landed , the engine was VERY HOT . I'm pretty sure it was not poor misture .

After that , I have improved the ventilation in the cowl, because as the plane was new, i saved a little too much in the ventilation cuts before .

My question: Do you think changing the fuel for 30/20 would be good or bad for the engine ? Since the manual does not recommend a rate as high of nitro.

As usual , please excuse my poor english !!

Best Regards !
Eduardo

30% nitro will give you more power and will make the engine easier to tune just be sure you have 20% oil. A lot of people run 30% nitro in YS engines.

Some people argue that higher nitro will run cooler but remember that power=heat. There are plenty of people here in the US running 30% nitro with no ill effects. You need to make sure your cooling outlet area is twice as large as the inlet for proper airflow to cool your engine. The biggest mistake people make is to have a cowled in engine with plenty of intake air but no outlet path for the air to take so the engine sits in hot, stagnant air.

Dear Petec :

Thanks ! I'm sure the outlet area is ok now . As i told you before , i saved a little too much in the ventilation cuts before .

Will test again with the new outlet area and same glow fuel before try to change it .
