Provided your web camera speed / computer CPU is reasonably fast, and the slot cars are different colors Easy Lap Counter should work fine. Cars which are predominantly a bright color like white, red, or yellow work best. Black, dark green will work in a 'single' car race, but the program will have trouble differentiating multiple cars if one is very dark. See the setup tips on the website for more details.

I've uploaded a new release of Easy Lap Counter 1.0.7 which should improve car detection accuracy and overall performance.

I've also verified that ELC works on Vista 32-bit, provided Vista is fully updated.

And I've added simple contrast and hue saturation boost controls if your camera software does not offer them (PS3 Eye).

Check the ELC Google Groups for reports by users, and be sure to post your feature requests to the feature request thread.

Hello.
I'm digging out this old thread as I have just downloaded the program and trying to make it work on a 1/10 offroad track.
My friends had tried it last year to no success, but now I'm getting closer to understanding the requirements and reasons why it failed. [8D] So I would like to ask whether there is any updates on the software, and does the donation thing still work.

Thank you jokeane for the free software.
