“Updateâ€
It’s been a month since the NECPO website was announced.
We now have 26 members with 12 actual North East members. The list is growing slowly but surely. [sm=thumbs_up.gif] [sm=teeth_smile.gif]

I forgot my NECPO login. If the moderator of that site sees this, can I please get a PM so that I can get my login info reset? Thanks very much!

Guys,
For planning purposes, I'd like to get a feel for a NECPO fly-in at the Central Connecticut R/C Club in Farmington, CT sometime this year. This would be a low-key get together for some no-stress flying. We have an annual NEPRO event the first weekend in June and a Biplane event the last weekend in September. Anytime before or after would be fine. So, let's see a show of hands! Looking forward to meeting some new pilots to share knowledge and stories!! The more the merrier!!

Great Rick !!
We have been working on the NECPO newsletter.
I'd like to have the info for the event at your field in our first newsletter so yes let's get a date down so we can start promoting the event everywhere.
I’d like to see it in late June or latter just to give us more time to get the word out.

I'm thinking the same thing, also gives more time to build more planes!
OK, let's narrow it down to early August. I'd like to hear from other folks on what would be a good time of year to plan this. Again, this is just a fly-in/get together. If enough pilots show up, I can get the field for just us pattern guys. So I need to hear from all NEPCO members and all in the Northeast that have the same interest.

I vote for mid to late September. The weather might be a little cooler at that point and it will give me more time to finish up at least one UFO, maybe two! A .60 and a .25!

Great, the more events the better.
I am trying to get something together for early season to get people together

Flying season starts in the spring, what a great time to get together, share ideas, meet new people, share some knowledge....Possibly set up more events for the summer?

John - Glad that you're on board! Looking forward to combining forces for some good activity. I read your thread on RCG, and we could probably use our field in Farmington. The biggest factor is of course the weather. Early spring has a history of raining out events.
WEDJ - I knew you'd be in!

I'm sure most of you have heard rumors about a NECPO Fly In. Well, it's no longer a rumor. The date has been set for September 8, 2012 with a rain date of September 9. The event will be hosted by the Central Connecticut RC Club in Farmington CT. There's more information here in the [link=http://www.necpo.org/pdf/Fly-In-2012.pdf]flyer[/link].
Be sure to check the [link=http://www.necpo.org/pdf/Fly-In-2012.pdf]flyer[/link] often for the most current information. I'm sure there will be updates and revisions as we get closer to the date.
Hopefully you'll be able to attend and help make this a successful event.
See you there!

I'm really looking forward to this gathering and hope it grows into an annual event. If anyone has any questions, please contact me, Paul (pitstop000) or RG. Thanks and looking forward to meeting like-minded pilots!!
