RE: F-15A 1/10th Scale
Daniel,
Sorry for the late reply. I believe it was drawn in AutoCAD. I then imported it into SketchUp and cut it into sections. All I am trying to do is get a model into my foam cutting software to cut a 1/12 scale or so model. It is proving to be a pain. The model was not very detailed and I have been through a hard drive so I don't have the .dxf file anymore. Oh, well. Let me know if you want what I have. You can go to Google 3D Warehouse, download a free model, and cut it up the same way. It would save you the steps of drawing it out if you are looking to save time that way. That's what I would do if I had to do it over again. Lots of time! That said, I admire your skill and the time you are putting into this! I look forward to seeing what you develop!

RE: F-15A 1/10th Scale
Dear allanflowers,
This thread is not futile, it is simply that I am currently overloaded with 4 different projects for school which all have to be finished by the end of June. The F 15 wil progress during the summer.
FOShowNoClass, thank you for your reply and the kind words!
Sincerely,
Daniel.

I never called it "futile". Also, I understand your project load situation.
On the otherhand, I would suggest starting with a simpler aircraft like a Mig21. It has a MUCH easier form to cad-model and only one engine/fan to deal with. It is far less common and therefore more interesting to see at the field, imho.
Just a suggestion. Of course I happen to LOVE the Mig21

I live in a 2D world.
Been building in 2D for 51 years.
You may want to dig up some modeling mags from the 70's. Plenty of great scale models built without CAD. You may learn a bit also glancing through them.
You don't need CAD to build a great scale model and never will.
