Aeroworks,

I just saw this plane in the December issue of Model Aviation. I don't see it on your website so do you have anymore info and pics you can post? It looks very similar to the new SIG Rascal 110 that is coming out in December. I owned a Rascal 110 before and have the new one on pre-order. Wish I would have seen the Bravata earlier.

We are working on the New Bravata and finalizing the model for production at this time. The Bravata is designed around a 30cc gas engine will have Flaps and will come Ready for Floats.

We will have more information posted on the web site soon but for now here is a teaser picture compliments of Higher Plane Productions!

Thank You

Sorry I don't have a set price yet and I don't feel comfortable enough yet to estimate one. I will have more information and pricing soon. Please watch the web site for most recent updates.

Thank You

899$ for plane
275$ for floats.....

If you look at the compettition and other planes AW has in this catogory....
I would guess that some of the competion does higher amounts of planes....so they can lower there price....

Could you amagine if this plane went for 500$ for plane and 250$ for floats....
That would be a deal sealer for me...

Aero-Works,

Nice looking plane. I'm not a big fan of floats but I like the color scheme.

I guess I didn't word it correctly in my last post. I just don't flying off of water. You can tell from your ad in Model Aviation that it comes stock with main gear and it is float ready. Thanks for the info anyway. Nice plane for a DLE 30. That should hover the plane with a slow pull out on a XOAR 19X8.

I think we would all like that price but I don't think it's going to happen.

This plane looks very nice. I've been wishing Aeroworks would come out with a float plane ever since I moved into a house on a lake this year.
Any estimate on when it will be available? Need someone to test one out for you? :-)

Nice colour scheme, will it be available in second scheme?

Something like a forest green/cream, maroon/cream, or orange/cream may look really nice also.

Looking forward to more information on this one.

Rocco-Not gonna ask again about pricingbut would like to know how firm do you feel you are on the release date?

I just wouldn't want to see early April end up being end of the season or something like that.

Are you that close?

The float design looks identical to the floats I have on a Rascal 110 I have. Are they balsa floats?

The floats in the picture were only rough prototypes we made at our shop. They are made from balsa wood then fiberglass and painted. We only used these for fit and balance testing and for display. The production floats will be full fiberglass with many improvements over the ones in the pictures.

Thank You

No. A plane this size is not what you want if your just learning to fly. This would be a good entry level from small glow engine planes to giant scale and gas engines.

Guys,
I was in Denver yesterday, so I stopped by Aeroworks to take a look at the Bravata prototype. This is a very good looking plane!
Typical Aeroworks quality. Quick build construction. Wings remove/install very quickly. Good combination of strength vs. weight.
They had a DLE 30 mounted on it, and it fit very well. The pitts style muffler pipes stuck out the bottom of the cowl just a little, and made a nice "scale" look.
It would be very easy to make a nice cockpit for this plane, and some cockpit accessories will probably be available for it.
This plane has a much nicer looking fuselage than the Rascal 110 fuse, in my opinion.

I'm looking forward to getting one of these.

Hammbone,

I agree with you on the fit and finish of Aeroworks planes. I had a 25% off gift certificate for SIG so I got one of the new Rascal 110's shipped to my door for $412.49. I think the new Bravata will be more than double that. With all that said I really like the looks and look forward to someone doing a build review.

Hey Zippi-

I am sitting here struggling over buying the new Rascal 110 (didn't think it was out yet when did you get it?) or wait until April + for this Bravata.

If you got the new rascal can you tell me what you think of the quality (Sig under the new management)? as compared to an Aeroworx plane?

Thanks-

Larry

phakur,

Haven't got mine yet. Hoping SIG will start shipping sometime within the next few weeks. Aeroworks makes a very nice plane. I had their 50cc S2 Sport Cub with a DLE 55 and it was a very nice flying plane. I guess it all depends on what you want and how much your willing to spend. The Bravata will probably be twice the price of the Rascal 110 but a better looking plane IMO. I got a really good deal on the Rascal 110 and couldn't pass it up.

The new Bravata is now on Aeroworks website. Sale Price $699.95 (Plus $39.95 Shipping Within USA). The price is not as bad as I thought it would be and I see there are now two different color schemes to choose from. Looks like they are due out in March so I hope to see a build thread shortly after.
