Default Piston and cylinder length

Hello all
For a single cylinder 1" bore X 1.5" stroke 4 cycle low compression engine
Is there a formula to determine the length of the piston, the length of the
cylinder and the length of crank rod?
Is 6:1 a good low compression ratio?

Also for example, does it matter if the bottom edge of piston is .125" above the
bottom edge of the cylinder vs .25" above?
Or even does it matter if the bottom edge of the piston is .125" or .25" below
the bottom edge of the cylinder?

Thanks
Borna
