couple of mini revo questions
Hey i just got myself a mini revo. Got it used. Has 2 2s lipos, 3 nimh packs and one 3s lipo. Already has rpm a arms all around and rpm bumpers.
ANYWAY.
Is it possible to run 2 2s in series? i know 2 6 cell nimh packs is 14.4v and two 2s lipos would be 14.8 so would it be ok or would the esc pop?
Any one have any pics of proline 2.2 buggy dirthawgs III FRONT tires mounted on some 2.2 rims on the mini revo?
What about the 2.2 buggy dirthawgs III REAR mounted on some 2.2 rims on the mini revo?
I know the 1/16 titus beadlock/dirthaw combo those dirthawgs are about 1.4in wide and the 2.2 buggy fronts are about 1.25inches wide.

the ESC can handle the voltage of the 2S in series but it is only made to handle 3s because of the low voltage cut off is set for only 3 cells. just gotta be careful not to ruin your batteries

Fully charged the 2 lipos will be 16.8V's (4.2Volts a cell) which will more than likely toast the ESC, and motor...
the NiMh's are 14.4V's (1.2V's a cell) but drop VERY quickly under load where the lipos will stay at 16.8 Volts for a prolonged period of time.
Other reason's BEC will probably fry they are made for certain voltages, and the motor is rated for 50,000 RPM's* 4S would fling it to over 67,000 RPM's. on 2 NiMh's its at 57,000RPM which is well over the recommended RPM's. Remember the 2 NiMh's are meant only for speed runs on flat paved surfaces, and only intermittent. Dual series batteries are a great way to destroy the motor

The Sand Paws will fit on the Traxxas 2.2 dished wheels if you get those. I have a few sets of those and any 1/10 rear buggy tire will fit on those 2.2 wheels.
