not comparing it to anything ,just wondering if the metals are crap or decent cause i know my hpi 5t chassis
is actually made of alloy, not pot metal.
You know losi "5t"(blatant rip of hpi Name 5t)is next to be copied by rovan/km or whatever else is "cloning/ripping off"
these cars. They even copied hostile rear alloy arms, total crap.

I never heard of any of KM/Rovan chassis problems...only with the motors or electronics.

When I first got mine over 2yrs ago, the steering servo went bad so I replaced both servos and upgraded my radio equipment. I ran the stock motor until I wanted to go faster. That original 23cc motor has been sitting on the shelf ever since. Everything else ran great until I hit a couple of utility poles on separate occasions...

not sure about the whole car but i got a pair of the rovan alum hubs for 20$ the fitment / finishand quality are lacking but what the hell they were 20 bux.
If the rest of the car is made to the same standards its probably crap.

I have a KM mate has a Rovan, he's had more problems than me, but they are only small scale issues.

I just ordered one of the 30.5 SC trucks and I will do a review of it when I receive it. The Rovan and KM baja's are good for getting started, once your running you can replace whatever part fails as you do with any RC car.

If you really want it and the price is in your budget then go for it; we all upgrade no matter the brand...

Ido know that there is a supplier out of China that makes the TC cage clone out of two materials,, regular plastic like the one that Rovan uses and High Density Nylon. Ibought one of the HDnylon versions and it is tough,, would not buy the plastic one as it will break right away,, more for looks unless you dont bash much. The TC cage is a HD nylon / plastic blend that is pretty tough as well. The blend is way more rigid than the HD nylon cage but is very strong. I paid 160 for the pure HD nylon version so didnt save much over the 180 dollar TC cage, but I wanted the flexibility for huge dune crashes.. anyway,, just thought this might help..
