fej Mig 29 maiden
hey guys,
pictures and vid coming soon.
i had the older new version. First let me think all the guys that helped. Chris, orlando, kevin, peter, tuan, binson, jeff, oli and barry also fej james and lowell and Fender.
i have 1/6 twin mig 29 powered by k170, thanks Barry and dirk.
We got to field really early to hopefully to beat the crowd. The first flight was nerve reckoning, i quivering like a girl in a horror movie. The plane ate up must of the 430 feet runway with takeoff flaps and eased in the air. The first flight was only 3 minutes and with less the half throttle. This bird flew great and was very stable. landing was perfect, however the brakes did not quite slow down this huge bird and it ran off the runway. no damage at all. even though it flew great we made a few adjustment to the elevator servo arms and check the brakes, everthing was perfect.
2nd flight
very very nice takeoff again with half flaps and no wind to mention of. The mig flew GREAT, no trim needed CG was dead on. We did a few cuban 8 and a few snap rolls, never going full throttle, this bird has a lot of blow with those k170's that worked flawlessly, thanks again Barry and Dirk. i believe the video has a few low passes and the snap rolls and takeoff and landings.
Gear
really no issue with the gear only that i need to adjust the time sequence for when the doors go up. i need to add time to allow the gears to go up before doors go up. i think with the presure of the wind
The Gear
14mz
kingtech k170 2x
8711 elevator
8411 on everything else
Details for Scales- Thanks Dan. only installed the landing lights, but they looked awesome.
Wet Weight is 72 pounds. This bird flys great like it is on rails. you see very well in the sky.
ifeverything works out guys, i willbebringing themig to Dessert Storm.
next maiden is the F-14-coming soon.

Hey Wap,
Wow what a nice job with the twins!! Just awesome... My single FEJ Mig29 was the same scheme and just looks amazing in the air. Yes definatley needs twin andyours flew with authority. Check your nose weight, seems that mine floated in much differently then your maiden video. Maybe too nose heavy. I never had a flat landing and bounch that yours exibited. Besides that just perfect.
I wonder how much weight the new Mig 29 honey comb version will save??
Best of fun with your beautiful Mig 29.

RE: fej Mig 29 maiden
Fmrr - thanks, should be soon for the f-14
kmarks-
thanks, it flew great. kevin came in hot both landings but stated that he could have came in a lot slower but did not want to risk it for the first few flights. This bird has a great presence in the sky. i not sure if you remember me calling back in april when i received the mig, thanks for the help. if every thing works out i will be in AZ in february.
i not to sure on the weight of the newer version but if it's like my honeycomb f-14 it was around 10 pounds lighter then the original. maybe the mig is around the same.
