Default My 55mph funjet

I thought you guys might like to see pics of my Funjet with my custom paintjob. 55mph Funjet

Its fast enough to keep up with the glowplanes at my field, and usually stays up longer than they can.

it looks nice, but if you are only going 55mph...you have something Way off on the power system...
they are capable of much more.

Oh I know they can go faster. This one however only has 100 watts. The point of this one was to go fast enough to keep up with the glow planes, (which it does )and get long flights.

Dean I know who you fly with and i havent seen any thing fast at that oakwood field.Leo and Art are only flying trainers . I have flown w you and your Dad many times.I mostly flew giant bipes
Try a 4 1/4 x4 1/4 prop much better Thats what I use.

Interesting. Whats your first name?

I have actually considered goint to a slightly bigger prop, perhaps a 6x4 since I do have better batteries now, but the motor is only rated to take at most 12 amps so I'd have to be careful.

that's a very nice looking funjet. i had a couple of them. that 55mph is crusing speed for a funjet. you have done what you set out to do. that's what counts. mine had three cell 2200 mah 30-c and the last motor was a e-flight 6 pole ducted fan 3600 kv motor. running a 6x4 prop the plane was about 100+ mph. but i only got 4 minutes flying time. i use to cruse at the speed your doing, and enjoy the plane alot, because i could see it. they are fun planes to fly. i have a stryker now. i never thought of a funjet going that slow...........so to speak, but that's something different that is what this hobby is all about. having fun without spending a fortune. good luck with it and thanks for posting......RON

Yup I have 2 of them, one with stryker motor/esc. and another with the multiplex motor/esc. It's florecent orange for a reason[X(]. It has been clocked (radar gun) at 114mph in level flight. The one with the stryker motor is alot more laid back at the mid 60mph range, depending on what prop I'm using. Your plane looks great![sm=thumbup.gif]
