Default Club JETT

With all the other engine clubs right now I figure it's only fair that JETT also have a club.

So if you enjoy flying the top notch American made engine post your experiences here.

My JETT is a 10 year old .46 currently powering a Top Flight Contender. Takeoffs are easily accomplished at half throttle.

I have not yet flown one of my Jett engines but I own some. Is it okay for me to join the club?

Here is one of mine:

For a short time Ihad the SJ 50 installed on a 40 size Ultra Stik. Takeoffs were more like launches than takeoffs. It reminded me of launching a control line combat plane back in the 1960's. Thisclub will be fun. Thanks for starting it and if you are going to have numbered members, count me in. Thanks for the effort.

I'll start the club numbers, iAlex if you want. Or, you can do it. This is a good idea.

I got my first Jett, a Q500 426 motor. The only problem is my Nelsen Q500 428 motors keep trying to push it out of the garage when I'm not looking.

blw, feel free to be the keeper of the numbers.

Kmot, what are the details on the black engine casing? It's certainly not something that I am familiar with.

G'day

I'd be happy to join. I have an SJ-46 which is the perfect engine for turning heads. It also really performs.

I have it in a GP Stick 40 at the moment. This is my "running in and testing" plane and the Jett really hauls it around with a 10 x 6 on it.

I like quality engines and it was a real pleasure to receive this engine in Australia from the USA.

Cheers

I have a Sport Jett 50 in a old Sportsman Aviation "Commander 40" and while being a heavier plane, it really hauls it around. Prop.....10-6.......Fuel Wildcat blend 15% nitro 18% oil

Hi All, I have a SJ .50 in a Tower Kaos. Really hauls that around. I use it almost every flying weekend.
I also have a SJ .90LX that was in aGreat Planes Little Tonithat I had gotten 2nd hand. That flew great until the one piece wing decided to make itself into a 2 or 3 piece wing. Not pretty but the engine survived without any problems. These are probably my favorite Glow engines I have!

Count me in!!

It is a Jett 1.20 Sport that I customized with painted and polished parts.

Okay. I'm on an iPad at the moment but will start the list when I get back to my regular computer.

Does everyone agree that you have to own, or once owned a Jett to have a club number?

I own a .90 FIRE. Have never run it but will someday. It is probably the best deal I ever got 'bidding' on something. The engine, header, engine mount, pipe and pipe mount for $76.

I should send in in for service I suppose.
