Default Can Caldera 10e and Hurricane xte take 3-4 cell lipos?

Icurrently have a celdera 10e running on a 5800 2c 30c lipo and love it. I want to buy a 1/8 hurricane buggyor 1/8 avalanche monsterand they both come with 3600 2c 20c lipos. Can I purchase bigger lipos like 3-4 cells that will worh with those vehicles or do I have to stick with 2 cells? Thanks.

The speed controllers will not work with anything other than the 2C's but according to the specs you could bump up the discharge rate of the 2C's. I would suggest buying the car first though. I've been very happy with the factory power from the stock cells.

I bought thisESCfor my shredder and I run dual 3S 5000MAH lipo's on my stock motor. I just watch the temps and it has treated me well so far. Not to mention I picked up atleast 10 MPH more easy.

ok. You have a hurricane? What's the runtime with the dual stock lipos? I think I would just want to upgrade the runtime. Maybe if I use 2 of the 5800 2cell 30c like the one I use with my caldera?

Stock runtime will only be 12 - 15 minutes depending on driving style. With dual 5800's you should see a 25 min + run time.

I would go with ShredderGuy, I have a hurricane, that I modded using the electric components of an 8e. 3200Mah 20C batteries mated with the esc that is rated for 80A. I normally drive the car but stop before the batteries die off of a fresh charge, so I'm not sure how long the run time would be for sure. With the springs stiff in the rear I can wheelie all day *with the tire I have on it*. You actually have to soften the spring to keep it on the ground.
I also have the Avalanche but I got one of the first ones out. They have had problems with my internal diff gears blowing up and have not run itsuccessfullyyet. Redcat is sending me parts to try to correct the problem. I'm hoping that they will arrive today.

Nice collection. If I would have kep all my RC's over the years they would fill my garage.

But those run times are based on my shredder which is the same thing on an extended chassis.
