Default Ar9110 Receiver high fades and RX LED dimming?

I have new Spektrum AR9110 DSMX recever that I am setting up in a new airplane.

TX is a JR 10X with Spektrum DSM2 Module, therefore the system TX/RX must operate in DSM2 mode.
Batteries are Two A123 1100mAh pack

Issue: -multiple fades get recorded on the fligh log for receiver A and r, but very few for receiver B
The fades occur only in certain TX stick positions. When they occur the fade count goes up rapidly. If I change the gear switch position for example the tx stick position changes were the fades occur.
The fades on A tend to go up to 255 and stop, the fades on r go higher to 900's
-When the fades occur the amber LED on the receiver dims (not as bright). I can move the tx stick position to maintain the dim LED's. Again changing some switches changes the TX stick position where this occurs.
- the range test have been OK,
-I have removed antenna A from the airplane and it still does the same.

Is there a problem with this RX or the satellite receivers? Does anybody else have the LED's dim?

Note
I have an DSM2 AR9100 RX and it does not behave this way with the same TX. Even with the same model program.

Greg

Sounds like a small or low battery or a binding surface/servo is loading down the system.

I have verified physically that no servos are binding and checked the current draw with only one battery connected. The current draw is less than 200mA measured with only one of the two batteries connected so that I know which battery the RX is drawing from. With Two fully charged A123's capable of 30C continuos and verifying that the voltage is not droping but staying at 6.7V when the problem occurs, I do not think this is a power issue.

I took the RX completely out of the aircraft to test some more. The problem follows the satellite receivers when plugged into another receiver port. It appears to me that there may be an issue with at least two of the 3 stellite receivers. The problem occurs with or without servos connected.

Yes yes, Ihave been battling the same issue for a month now, and was beginning to think it was me..... mine is on a ar7100

Ihave posted on another thread that I was getting a glitchy servo... it would appear to be a pot in the servo or tx as the servo would not be smooth and jump.... but it was intermittent and Icouldnt get it to do it twice.

So Ibought new servos and it got worse.......

For 1 month now Ihave had the plane grounded trying to get it to repeat in vain..... however in the dark I first noticed this... sometimes the light on the rx will flash off, and then like you say, it dimmed....

I had not had the data logger in, but will try that now....

I think the rx will not work without the satellite... maybe it is a bad plug to the satellite? Iam using the spektrum satellites that came with the rx.

At least there are two of us!

Ithought it may be the voltage going to the rx but have tested that and its 5.5v. I am running 6s lipo electric with the BEC in the esc.

JR and Spektrum satalites can be mixed.

The 9110 reciever however is DSMX, are you using DSMX satalite receivers? Because thse you can't mix and match. The recievers ending in 10 need DSMX satalites.

Just as an update, I added the data logger to mine.... after 30 test turn ons, nothing, then all of a sudden, the light dimmed and cut out for a sec, and then the fades on both antennas started to run and run up to 999 on one and 250 is it on the other.... the radio still had control....

However after that my spektrun rx came out the model, there is a problem here. I will not use that rx again until I can find the problem.

I just installed AR9110 new setup in a plane, I was trying to wire in 3a bec using 3000mha lipo's Receiver would bind but immediatly go and lock all servo's with continuious jitter! It work's with a 4.8v 2000 nickel metal old receiver batt. But not with 6v 7.4 ? Is it my bec? But then why won't it work properly with 7.4v lipo 4000mah pack are you guy's haveing other issue's with the DSMX receiver's. I have the AR8000 AR7000 AR9000 all do the same thing. Go back to th DSM2 AR7000 and they work fine with the 3a bec is it the TM1000 causing the problem. The TM1000 work's fine with the Hobby King 9ch orange and work's with the bec? Horizon Hobby say's I am installing it incorrectly then why will the old version DSM2 work but the new DSMX will not work with the bec? lost modeler.... spent my whole weekend trouble shooting all of the DSMX receiver's with TM1000 I don't trust. No trouble with the DX8 TX. Do you power any of your receiver's with bec? Please let me know I am lost [email protected] This is Rick Parker.

the AR9110 is a powersafe receiver that uses two battery inputs, you don't' run it off a BEC.

Okay, I'll bite on that response but when I hook up a 7.4v or 9.8v nmh source without a bec directly to the ar9000 it bind's then servo's go directly to constant chatter.

i'd say your servos aren't intended for high voltage and that's why they are chattering. the receiver will take a 6-10v input, but it has no regulation built in, you must regulate in the input voltage to whatever is appropriate for your servos.
