Fred, i do love the scale working doors and gear on my T-28 Trojan using the umbrella for hardware. but all the "thanks" goes to PIMODEL. he did the original design and hard work. there are many of us who [with his help of pictures] made it work real nice for us. i wish i could take a movie of the gear working so good. don

Awesome work Mr.Stang! You have some serious skills. What exactly is flight metal? And where does one pick it up at?

Hello Crash

Thanks , its only possible with great american Products, Flitemetal is the correct name of this outstanding Foil. With Goggle is easy to find.
Its a very thin Foil made out off Aluminum. You can stretch over 25% used in rounds
You can scotch or polish the Surface.
You can cover everything ,but by carefull!!! is like a Drug, try one Time and you cannot go return.
Rivets are easy to build with a little brasstubes in different diameters.panelines and much more.

You do beautiful work. Great job! And thanks for the tips. Not sure what model I would want to attempt doing this to. Does the flight metal have an adhesive to it? How hard is it to stretch?

Thanks

Hi,

I just about finished my T-28 after several mods that I found here on this thread.
One question, I am using an O.S. FT-300 Gemini Twin  and not sure how much or where to cutout the cowl for cooling air to exit.
If any one has any ideas I would love to hear them
Thanks

Air exit should be through the front wheel well. You may have to fit "dampers" or plates to direct airflow round the back of your cylinders and out the bottom. Just use thin alum sheet or even plastic card.

Hi chaps,

I maidened my Trojan weekend just gone (DLE55) and it flew like a beauty! Still need a little more nose weight 5/6oz but it seems really nicely balanced out - dont need to full throttle it around all the time

**NEWS**

Thought I would make you guys aware that I'm speaking directly with Kelvin at Keleo Creations and after a few weeksof discussion and(begging!)he has decidedthatdue tothe popularity of the ESMT28he will fully design andstart producing scale exhausts systems for the ESMT28 - very very good news

http://www.keleo-creations.com/index...index&cPath=70- watch this space! I think the product should be released fully by Feb/Mar 2012

I read that the new version of the ''ESM Trojan'' will be a little different.
The new Trojan has a shorter an more scaled motor-cowl , the canopy material will be
upgraded and the wing position is different, too. Additionally, the retractable landing gear
will have a new position.
IĀ“m looking forward to seeing the model at my distributorĀ“s soon.
I will try to order this Trojan unpainted(primed) to finish the model in a color ,
I like better than the product on offer.

Franz
Hello Franz (and anybody with info on this),
I realize this post was back a few months, but it sounds like several changes.
My question is: Does the 'new version' apply to the very 'first' shipment of red and white T-28's? Or have some red and white versions been produced before the changes you mentioned? The reason I ask is the photo in post 1026 appears to have the older cowl with smaller intake opening. Too hard to tell from the photo is any of the other changes are there.
Thanks for any info,
Harv

Hallo Harve,

according to what I have heard is the cowl shorter and more scalelike, but the cowl- airintake diameter is the same.
The frontweel-mount and the wingsattle have different positions. minor changes only. The canopy material ist stronger.
As far I get more informations, I will post them.

I'm sure at some stage he'll be catering for the most popular of the range

Hi T-28 Pilots. Started to work on my ESM T-28. I flew the real ones during my Pre-Flight training in the USAF (1953) Flew T-6s first then T-28s then T-33s and many more jets after that. I'll include a few pictures as to my approach to the BUILD. I'll include a few pictures of other items. One picture is my 60 size T-28 with an RVC 90 4 cycle in it. A picture of me in a full size T-28 during Pre-Flight training. I started the EMS T-28 kit by first developing a single wire to hold the flying surfaces on. Col. Chuck Winter
