RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine
I received my plans from Don today. The instructions rate right up there with Sigs or Great Plane - lots of clear photographs. The prints are easy to read plus he has a complete parts list. If anyone likes to build this is a really great option.

RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine
How does one remove themselves from the pre-order registration page at http://www.iwantmyfm.com/registration.html??
I'd rather opt-out now and scratch build another Flying Machine, then wait till the dust settles on the ARF

The forth prototype has been shipped with all the requested changes. What will happen next?
1) Verify the ARF kit meets all my requirements.
2) Photo document the ARF for assembly instructions.
3) Completed some test flights to verify integrity of the aircraft.
4) Give ok to start production of the ARF.
5) Write the assembly instructions to be included in the kit.
6) Wait for distribution of the ARF kit.
No need to opt out as no money has been exchanged. You will just receive an email stating the kit is available for purchase.

RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine
I just received the phone call from our manufacturer. The final prototye wasbuilt to our complete specifications andshipped directly to Don last week.I don't havea clue when it will arrive but I am in the process of getting the tracking information and will find out where it is. It might bein customs but thats normal and not a problem other than it will slow things down a few days.

RE: Don Muddiman Flying Machine
I have been ordering circuit boards for my work, direct from China, and they have been taking a month to get here, and cost an arm, a leg, and a kidney to ship
so this is quite normal, with the exception of my new I-pad, which left china 2 or 3 days ago and is now in alaska and supposed to be delivered tomorrow
thus the term "Slow boat from china" [X(]
I do not expect we will see a container of these state side for a few weeks after they ship, just the way it is unless you want to pay BIG dollars for shipping

The Slow boat from china is going on 2 years since this model was supposed to hit the shelves (check the back posts). I think that those that have watched this thread have been very patient for this model, which is both a strong statement about the desire for this design as well as the tenacity of the customers. It’s just too bad it has taken so long.....

Oh for petes sake. What many people here need to realize is that you have all been apart of something that you wrre priveleged to be a part of and that's that. It is always an awful idea to include the public in the development of a product. It can't become anything other than a massive thorn in the side of those putting all the work and money into and in some instances, sucks all of the life right out of it. You are all observers of the realities of development. Suck it up.

That quote was posted in December of 2008.
Well the Summer of '09 has come and gone with no Flying Machine ARFs.
And now the Summer of '10 has nearly come and gone with no Flying Machine ARFs.
Does it really take 2 years to debug a prototype ARF design?
ORIGINAL: East RC
I hope everyone is having a nice Holiday Season! Here are a few pics of the first round prototypes of Flying Machine ARF's. Don and the East R/C gang will test on these to look for areas of weakness that need to be changed before a full production run begins. We should have these on the market by Summer 09'.

East just says "SUCKITUP".............whats the problem? Summer of '09, Fall of 2012, whats the diff? I think some forget how long customers have been waiting. Again, I think people have been very patient for this............Ithink a little empathy for the the fellow modeler is in order here.............
