RE: 1 cell lipoly esc help??????
Yep - just plug a rx battery (rechargeable or the old skool 4 AA pk) and pulg it into the the BATT port on the rx. Also, you'll need a lipo low-voltage cut off circuit, plugged in between the esc and rx. This is so you don't kill the battery from letting the voltage drop too low.

Yep -
Ch1 - servo (steering)
Ch2 - low voltage reg, which then plugs into the esc like a bridge between the two.
BATT - a 5.5 - 6.0V external battery source (rx battery pack)
You can buy a low voltage cutoff for 1 cell, 2 cell, 3, and so on.
Look for the one that cuts off before 3 volts or a little more

RE: 1 cell lipoly esc help??????
If u run a battery of any kind to power the rx and servo u will need to remove the red wire from the ESC plug or just run a voltage booster.. it works for me..

RE: 1 cell lipoly esc help??????
There is a free tutorial on the Castle Creations web site that shows everyone how to short-cut the 1 cell esc,
But if it's not a CC product, then I cannot say anything further.
Some ppl bridge their lipos with a lipo cut-off fail safe switch, between the battery pack and the esc.
Other options bridge is a self-made electronic BUSS system between the RX and the battery itself.
Either way, you should be good.
Make sure, just to be on the safe side (research it!) that you get a 10 amp brake, just to certainly protect your electrics.
Hope that helps!
