Can anyone id the mfg of this YAK?
My friend bought this plane a few years ago and never had a chance to get it going. As far as I can tell it is a YAK 52 but I don't have any idea who the mfg of the kit or short kit was/is. It has a fiberglass fuse and a foam core wing with air retracts. It has a 95" wing span and is 71"from rudder to the front of the cowl. It has a stihl conversion engine for power... I am not sure what the cg should be and also the control throws. If anyone out there has any experience with this plane let us know.
Thanks

Just a guess, but it looks like something that World Models would make.
But I don't think thy ever made fiberglass fuse.

Hm. Looks good. I can't seem to locate any info on it. Either way, c.g. should be around 1/3 of the wing chord from the leading edge. Set up the throws like any other scale/warbird with dual rates and you should be good. Looks like a fine flyer.

OK thanks for the info... I can't find any info on anyone that produced anything like it. The fellow that owned and flew it before said it is a good flyer but didn't fit his needs. I'll look into the YAK 18PM.
Thanks guys!

Its was manufactured in Italy by Eurokit and was distributed in the US from their agent in Canada. The distributor in Canada is no longer in business. Here is the web site to Eurokit in Italy. This actually shows a picture of your Yak at the top of the page.

Wow thanks Rob. I figured someone here could id the plane and who made it. So it was mfg in Italy? I kinda figured that it was a European design but just didn't have any knowledge.
Thanks

Sam
I just recently purchased exactly the same model and hope to have it flying later on this year. just picked up a3W-75i gaser for it and looking for some servos. needs cosmetic work also and hope the retracts are functional. have the original canopy but with a crack in it (repairable) but would like to get a fresh one or eventually make one.
i've searched the web for info on the model (cg would be nice) but have come up empty. was wondering if you have had any luck and if so would share with me.
cheers
