RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
I'm in for two collard RAF flag blue shirts. I also like the idea of a top profile with all the other national markings around it.
Scott my Mrs is a Graphic artist right here in OKC, I'll ASK her to put together an image or two.

Chuck;
you did a great job on your Spit!!! And let me welcome you to the Spitfire Brotherhood!! One quick question. On the rightside of the fuse by the tail fin, the opening, is that a door??? If it is, that will look very cool!! More pictures when she is done please!!!

Yes, very nice indeed.
It does look like it has a longer nose than a Mk I though, did you do mods?
Love all that detail.
Cheers,
Brad

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
Here are some museum non flying Spitfires. They are from the RAF museum in London.
Also another replica on a pole. Still beautiful!
I had a wonderful day there all by myself. The poor (new) wife was back at the flat with jet lag and a head cold. "I wont be long darling. Promise."
Six or so wonderful hours at the museum and they had to kick me out. I had no tripod for my camera hence the shots taken from the floor with a long exposure time.
Cheers,
Brad

Thanks for the help with the shirts. Stan from the Sooner Squad is working on one too. Between everyone, we should have a great looking shirt.
I will e-mail to your home a file I put together with all of the flags that apply. I have them saved in PNG and bipmap (bmp)
Tell her thanks!

That Mk VIII would actually be a MK IX with a late style rudder on it.

The kidd below is where the .5 comes from. Please meet Squadron Brotherhood Member 1.5, the Talimena Kidd. If you have a .5 squadron member to add, please let me know.
Currently here is most of his warbird squadron fleet that includes a 1/7 TF Gold P-51D, he also has the same, but converted to the B Model. It is in for paint at the moment. Also Park Zone T-28, TF Gold F4U, P-40, Snoopy, and a .25 size P-47.

My little girl loves coming down to the grass but gets bored very quickly and becomes a pain in the neck.
I do love her being there though.

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
Here's my Seagull Models (E-Scale) Seafire that I electrified. It's a .90 size with a 64.6" wingspan weighing in at 11lbs.
It is powered by an E-Flite Power 90, CC Phoenix ICE 75AMP ESC, and 8S lipos.
It comes with British ensignia, but I customized mine in Royal Canadian Navy colours with decals purchased from Callie Graphics.
Flight charactistics are great with no nasty surprises. The plane lands easy and even though it has flaps, they are not required.
And a video of the Seafire in flight....

Cheers,

Continuing with my full sized pictures I have more from the RAF museum in London including a modern sculpture at full size, what a sight and the well known 1/5th scale beauty.

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
Thanks for the welcome guys!
Triumphman49 - My preference is for the Saito 115 over the OS110, it flew with more authority, engine sonund was more pleasing to my ears and it just looks more attractive. Only changed it out because it developed a hairline fracture on the cylinder head at the intake. Fixing it aint an option, might as well buy a new engine for similar money. Maybe its time to make the switchover to gas.
Brad330l - The moniker comes from my obsessesion with chasing bonefish on the saltwater flats, fly rod in hand! But while it wasn't too long ago that the indigenous Carib indians did have their foes on the menu, nowadays it seems that KFC rules!
Here are a couple shots of the F24 Spitfire at Duxford taken in 2008.
Cheers

RE: Spitfire Brotherhood (All Spitfires Welcome)
Hi Steve,
I sent a PM to join the Brotherhood.
I've posted a couple of photos of my TopFlte Spitfire, and here's a couple more.
The plane was build with no significant changes to the frame. I did add some cockpit details, chin scoop, my own blisters on the wings, and some slight shaping to the underside wing fairings. The plane is glassed using West Systems epoxy. Panel lines and rivets were added in the primer, and the plane is painted with outdoor latex for the camo, Master Model and Humbrol paints for the markings and inkjet wet transfer decals for some of the smaller markings and clear coated with polyurethane. It's powered by an RCV 90SP engine which I used because of it's slender profile and ability to turn a 15.5 x 12 4 blade APC Prop. Cooling is aided by the addition of a small ducted fan inside the cowl. The plane is painted as MK732 as it was in about 1950. It was (and still is) owned by the Royal Nethernlands Air Force, and still flys today. The last time I heard, it was painted in a later scheme which is all silver color.

I like that fan setup. That is quite ingenous idea I have several of those fans that are in computors I use for different things. Now I have another thing I can use them for to add to that list. Great idea Scott!
