CANON-D SLRs THE NUMBER OF SHUTTER ACTUATIONS?
I have occasionally seen ads for used CANON cameras where people either ask how many actualtions there have been, or advertise that number. I have a CANON 40D, and just bought a used 7D body. How can I determine how many shutter actuations there have been?
Appreciate the help

Thanks for the input. I clicked on the site, but it's still pretty much of a mystery to me. How do you use it, Reader's Digest version to determine the total number of shutter actuations? Could you give me a bit of a description of how to do it?

it depends on the body if it keeps count. a lot of times people just know since all the pictures from their camera are on the the same computer/drive. the best place to ask this question is http://photography-on-the.net/forum/ just dont ask if L glass is worth the price there, or your modeling budget will dwindle faster than a prime lens!
