Default WARNING

Although I have been building and flying models for almost 50 years, electric helicopters are new to me.

Today, whilst setting up a T-Tex 500 I accidently brushed against the throttle stick and the motor started and I got whacked in the face and arms by the blades. Its not a pretty sight, cuts, blood and bruising.

These things are dangerous, and one cannot be TOO careful. From now I will treat these things as LIVE whenever the battery is connected. I came withing a whisker of losing my right eye. Be Warned !

Regards,

DavId Gladwin.

Sorry to hear of your mishap, I hope all heals OK.

Maybe the title of the thread should have been - Warning, be sure to read all Cautionary notes in the manuals.

All the manuals that I have seen from reputable companies have very clear notes and directions relative to this issue as well as others.

I NEVER install the blades until ALL the programming is complete, AND programing the throttle hold is a must!

David Gladwin, Sorry you got bitten, Yep they are very dangerous birds, anything from a Blade CP and Up can be hazardous to your health.  Always either remove two ESC to Motor Wires, or Remove the Main Blades, But also watch out for the tail blades also as they turn 3 times, or more faster and can cut to the bone quick.
