There is no such animal, WT-878 does not exist. Use the one I recommended, WT-759, they work very well and are easy to find.

Jody, this is indeed a VERYpleasant surprise, Happy to know you are still out there watching over us here in RCUniverse Land. Your advice is always welcome and considered invaluable.

The 878 is not the Walbro model #, what you have there is a WT-718-1 with a broken off inlet nipple. The 878 means nothing.

What is with the edit by w8ye ?

Whatever did the numbers is the same thing that puts serial numbers on the engines....
Early DLE 30s had carb that said Tillotson cast into the backplate...Funny thing, no such number existed in the Tillotson data base and all the parts were exact copies of Walbro parts...EXcept fot the threads, all were metric....Walbro carbs have SAE threads...

It's not written by hand, a machine does this.

When I was at DANA we had engraving machine we would program to engrave what style/font etched into the metal, the engraving looks very similiar as that machine produced. It was a generic machine but beat doing it by hand. If this was done by hand I got plenty of stuff for them to do. LoL... I will send manufacture an email and see what they say, so they can verfiy.

What about the Walbro WT-540? I have one on a Webra Bully 35cc converted to Rcexl ignition and it runs and idles perfectly with great transition. No "burble" in the midrange either. I did shorthen the extremely long N/V's. This carb is obsolete but I have a dozen or so new ones in my closet. I liked the accelerator pump for that added squirt of fuel when fast full throttle was needed for 3D and such. Great little carb that I have found to be well adapted for a wide range of engine sizes. I also have one on my ZDZ 60 RV-L and it will feed this beast with ease. Excellent fuel atomization and fuel/air metering that permits a wide range of applications with a 13.49mm throat diameter. I do not know how it will work using a CM-6 plug though. I have a DL-50 that I may try it on. It has the CM-6 plug.
What do you guys think?

For the experts,
After you've gained experience from repairing many engines and researching manufacturer's numbers you know which marking on the carb is the correct model number. How can the rest of us tell at a glance which is the correct "WT" number?
The numbers in the picture are WT837 and 759.

RE: Walbro Carb for DLE30
What difference does it make, all WA and WT carbs use the same rebuild kit...
All real walbros have a cast number in the venturi, the number is the venturi size in 64ths...
Most any carb with the same venturi size will work....

Go back and look at the OP.
This guy wants to know what type of carb..... NOT what is the the machine that puts the type on the carb!!!
Get back on the subject!!!
Who gives a ****ing rat's ***** about what the machine that puts the numbers on the carb looks like!

IF one is an experienced andknowledgable engine personand has donethe research and testingto know the different characteristics and features of certainWalbro models, it makes a BIG difference, all WT/WA carbswerenot created equal. Very few people here meet these qualifications, none are engine retailers. I doubt I needed to tell you that.
