Default YS110 FZ prop

Hi I have a .46 mustang with my ys110, what would be the best prop for high speed flybys.

Most guys fly the motor on 46 mustangs with an APC 13x13n. You should see about 10k for rpm with this combo on 30% nitro. A second choice would be APC 14x12n. If using the 110s version on higher nitro then you could move to the 13x13.5n..... I raced this combo for a long time.

BPF,

Jimmy Skids is right on the prop sizes for your YS 110.

A .46 size Mustang being designed for a two stroke engine that generally runs around a ten inch prop
so be sure you will have the ground clearance to run a prop three to fourinches bigger.
You may have to alterthe landing gear to compensate.

That plane is sure going to be haulin' the mail at full tilt!

Happy flying, Oscar

To anyone who cares i ended up getting a YS 115Fz S with a 14/10 prop, but i can only do a 50% power take off because of the clearance issue. It Hauls ASS at 135 mph 30% nitro

BPF,
I've just started working with a 115 on my race plane for this season. I did break in using a APC 14x12N and 30% nitro 20% oil. RPM number were around 10200. I would be interested to hear what RPM you are seeing with the 14/10 prop, and what brand. I just jumped pitch to 14x13N and upped nitro to a 40/20 blend and didn't get the RPM hoped for.... next step.... 50%! Hopefully that gets me back in the speed band.
