The T3 does not have 2.2 hp. It take porting and good tunning for an OS18tz to put out 2.2 hp.

HPI and other engine makers like to inflate those HP numbers..i had a site that told me the real HP numbers of alot of the top motors, but seem to not be able to find it....but theres no way the motor will get 2.2hp on the xdyno.
Its still a fast motor though...on my buddys completly stock rs4 evo 3...i put a performance exhaust on there...and clocked him at 54mph...not bad for stock gearing..

Don't believe that. If that was the case that motor would be pushing that car to atleast 80mph.
If you want a correct drop in I would recomend the 18tz but if you don't want that much power I think that the OS. TM or TX has lower hp and rpm.

Thanks for the info guys... Really appreciate it...
Regarding the OS motors, how do you deal with the rear facing exhaust port...HPI motors are side port.

Just have to order an HPI rear header. $13 I believe. No screwes just a spring holds it tight.

Hey Ihave another question...
Is it possible to mount larger wheels on the RS4 chassis to gain some ground clearance...? Maybe install some truck tires so I can run it on other than smooth pavement...?
Not really looking to make it "off-road" but just buy me enough ground clearance to run over irregular surfaces, short grass, mulch, etc...?

You can. I have. You can use 1/8 scale wheels and tires. What I used was from the Super RS4. But if you want to run it on something other than concrete, it's going to bounce around a lot.

Mtz57. There is a differential set up that will give you more speed, I have them but don't remember what the numbers are. What I do remember the large gear was like $30+ and the smaller was like around $15. It's similar to the heavy duty.

I have heard of people having diffrent colored pinons and diff spur gears. Also one said had different diff gears like but not the same as the hardend gears. I know that the rs4 2 has all kinds of diffrent combos.

RE: OFFICIAL RS4 RTR 3 thread!!!!!!!Also type SS and others
Got a question and I'm hoping you guys may have the answer to. I just received my PushGlo Onboard Glow Plug Igniter and I'm having one hell of a time trying to figure how to wire it. I'm not having trouble wiring the whole thing. I'm just trying to figure out where to plug the line that powers the whole device. The instructions say "Plug power cable into RX or directly into battery pack". My question is "where"? Anyone here have a tutorial or pics of how they wired theirs? Any help is much appreciated!
Note: I have an RS4 3 Evo+ with the stock receivers and battery pack.

You will need to get a Y splitter off your battery pack.. or if you have a 5 channel traxxas receiver, you can use one of the channels for power. but most likly you have a 2 channel receiver. ..so i'd just get the y splitter for the battery pack.
