I would have no way to know that your computers crashed.. . I have re forwarded all of my e-mails with regards to what we have been talking about for the past 10 months. Which should be on your E-mail server unless that company lost all your information at the same time your computer crashed - seems odd. So you couldn't even send a message on here via PM? or see that I am still in need of parts from this thread? I just don't understand why this is such a big deal. I have done nothing to you only asked for what you have promised me I have paid you FULL price for the plane not the "discount price" I paid full pop for shipping and was promised replacement parts for the ones that arrived damaged as well as the upgraded parts. here is all that I need... Carbon Wing tube and tail tube., Wheel pants, and cowl.

I have the GEE BEE R3 from Giant Model Products and flew it for the first time this week. The plane flies very well, however the wheel pants are not very sturdy and took a beating after three smooth three point landings. The wire landing gear flexes and hits the thin fiberglass wheel pants and has cracked them.I need to get some new wheel pants and figure a way to reinforce the new ones.(I hear that they are on backorder).Anythoughts on how to reinforce them? Thanks

You may want to try reinforcing the inside of the wheel pants with fiberglass cloth. Cut the cloth to fit, mix up some 30 minute epoxy, dilute the epoxy with alcohol, place the cloth in the desired areas and then brush the epxoy on.

Hey Fellas, I just found your thread today and have been reading for a few hours. You guys have some great ideas and it has been most helpful on my build.
I decided to build the 30cc and I also have the 3W 55 CS I installed. I have been making different mods to the kit througout the build but right now I am working on mods for the wheel pants.
I extended the canopy deck black paint another 200mm. Just thought that looked better.
I removed the wire gear struts and covered the entire (inside) of the wheelpant with carbon fiber. I was thinking about bending some 3/16 wire to match the existing strut and brazing them togather. Once completed I was also thinking about some expandable foam inside of the wheel pant tubes to dampen the wire movement.
If you guys have any ideas please feel free to jump in here. My build is located at http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10980990/tm.htm
PS Why is there no flight video of any Gee Bee R3 30cc with a 50cc motor anywhere. I would love to see the combination in flight.

My struts came inyesterday for my GeeBee R3 30cc. Below is a picture of them laid on the wheel paints so you can get a perspective of them. These are of my designand to save some money I elected to get them without all the attachment points installed. I will silver solder them on just above the scissor link. Iwill also have to adjust the barrel lengths a bit to get a perfect fit.

Looking forward to your video MIke! Im guessing the reason why there isnt a video yet maybe due to landing gear failure! Just kidding! I am shocked that so much work has to go into an ARF. [] Good luck MIke, keep us posted!

I have been slowly picking at my 30cc version. All that is left is the struts. It however has been placed on my plane rack for storage as I attend to other projects. When I get back to it and finish it, I will be sure to make a video of the maiden.

We found some good weather yesterday and got our 30cc maidened. The video was shot in 1080P so you need to watch it in full screen HD to see it.
This is with the 3W 55 motor. Engine was never bench run. This is also the first time the engine was ever started.
