Default ORION - New In Development 2m Composite Sports Jet

The Orion is a new sports jet which is currently under construction & testing and the plan is to have it ready to officially launch at Jetpower in Germany in September this year.

The Orion is an all composite 2M span sports jet which has been designed to be very practical for easy transportation, simple installation and suitable for a wide range of turbines.

Over the coming months I will post more information as the project comes together but for now a couple of teasers.

Nice...Very 'Hawkish' with a splattering of MB339 thrown in.

Is it going to be a kit or an ARF?

Geoff, honest answer - not sure as its still under development.

Nice touches include the wing root cheeks which provide a nice 'join' to the fuselage and strengthen the wing joining area, same treatment to stabs. Nose removes so aids transportation if the need arises. Two piece wings and removable fin.

Cool i'm glad Ali finally found someone to kit the Mach 1, i didn't realise he had changed the front end on it since the prototype though. Looking forward to seeing it in the air finally

Marc,

What is the range of Turbines?

Do you have a Target price in mind?

Very nice looking!

Thank You!

Duncan, it does have some similarities to the Mach1 but its certainly not the same project

Cheers for changing to a jpeg too.

Meesh should fly fine on a VT80 up to P140 size.

No ideas on price yet, I suspect middle ground compared to other similar jets in this catagory.

Mark,
Its always good to see a new model and one from the UK ,it does look abit like a Hawk/Mb/l39 hybrid but hey its so much nicer than the twin boom offerings ??
well done,
cheers Euan.

Assuming you can get replacement nose sections I might be VERY interested

Let me know when you've got one Marc and I'll pop over.

Lovely looking kit, will lend itself to both military and sports colour schemes.

Any idea of launch date and colour schemes?

Hope to have a test kit around May time, plan on using our own electric retracts and e-brakes to keep the whole jet air free.

Planned launch is Jetpower in September.

No plans as yet for schemes, will take some advice from the 'boys who know' and come up with some options later in the program.

Appreciate the comments.

I'm thinking K100F Ian. You know when they will be available?

The fuselage looks similar to the Extreme Jets Dragon with a Hawkish nose.. Nice plane and looks like it will fly well.
