Kinda leaning toward a medium orange to try and match the color of the shock caps. Probably would call it a rusty orange that it kinda bright.

Yeah if the chrome wouldn't chip off first run and look like crap I would just dye them orange and have some badass orange/chrome rims!

I'm thinking that my next body will be mostly blue and orange with some white and I'll dye my next set of rims two blue and two orange and have them match or contrast with the body. Kinda want to get some dish rims but not sure how that would look on a savage...

My rims and tires just showed up Time to glue and install.
What tires/rims did you get fisher? post pics.
Just my luck glued the tires on the rims and put the rears on no problem get to the front and the offset is not right!!!
So you have two different sets of rims with different offset?

they are the same offset, They fit on the back but they hit on the knuckle on the front. I may have to just put them on the storm.

Dish rims actually dont look that bad on a savage. i had some dish rims on my old .21 nitro with dirt bonz and it looked like a racer.

Either going to get the [link=http://www.ebay.com/itm/HPI-Racing-3045-Type-F5-Truck-Wheel-White-Rear-2-FREE-SHIPPING-/110806482342?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19cc94bda6#ht_2047wt_803]HPI F5[/link] or some dish rims.

Leaning toward the F5 rims because they aren't too "racey"...

Too bad the offset is wrong and they rub on the front knuckle as they look nice, Maybe a hex hub extension would work?

You could always put a washer in the hex to offset it just be sure to loctite the nut.

I would guess that hub extensions would cost as much as new rims unless you can mock something up.  I think the washer is a good idea.  How much extra offset do you need?

Tower shows XS Flux will be in stock on late march,
it's 28th now and I think they would probably postpone the in stock date ,
does anyone know something about it?
Hope they fix the esc problem in this new batch truck?
Thanx!

If ur getting it from towerhobbies, just order it, join the super savings club for $10, and you can get the xs for about $260. Usually they are a week or two late with their in stock dates. but you might as well just order it so you get on a list before they go out of stock again. and if the esc issue continues, just send it in to hpi. Its under warranty for a year. it might take about a month by the time you ship it out and get it back, but shipping is cheaper than a whole new $180 vapor pro esc.

I might have been wrong about $260. you should already get free shipping, even if you aren't in the club i believe. but if you join the club, they take $30 off a $300+ order. so take that off the total. anyway you will get a flux for under $300.

Well, getting my fried ESC shipped today. I hope it doesn't take too long to get it there and get a fixed or new one back. Im estimating probably about 4 weeks. Thats if the vapor pro esc is in stock too. But i've got my shock ends returned and they placed the order today, so nect week ill have those. so during that time of waiting for the esc, ill replace those, clean the truck up, refill the shocks, check the tires for pulling away from the rim, and ill figure something out so the drive cups stop getting ruined. gonna suck not driving it for like, a month lol []

There not waterproof but if you want you could do it yourself. I would pick up the 120A and when the Vapor Pro gets back sell it on eBay to recover funds.

Good luck with that sent mine in weeks ago said they were going to upgrade my esc to the q base, long story short got the motor back yesterday and had a note saying the Vapor pro is out of stock. So who knows what or when I will get for a esc. Good thing I bought a MMP while I was on vaca, hopefully the MMPisnt defective out of the box like my sv2 was.
