Where do you order your RC parts?
Hey I am new and was just wondering what sites you all order your cars, parts, etc from. I want the best prices for the stuff cause I know hobby stores rip you off BIG time. Thanks!

RE: Where do you order your RC parts?
I'm w/ aliens on TH. Very hard to beat their prices...I saved a bundle recently ($55+ off what would've cost $290 @ my LHS), their $8 standard shipping is great (no tax in CA!). Through 1/31 you can get $25 off a $150 purchase too. Just be sure you know what you are getting--attempting to return can be a MAJOR hassle!

Nope, sorry. Our place is more of a pro shop, meaning that they stock only the stuff racers need. If you want a plane, helicopter, boat or whatever, they can get them but they don't stock them.
btw, when I said "mine", I didn't mean I was associated with it.. I meant the one I frequent.

RE: Where do you order your RC parts?
Gotcha!
Back in Ohio, I was friends with a shop owner. I used to get all my stuff from him, until his wife left and he was forced to sell the store ( since she had a 50% stake). I'm stuck with Hobbytown USA locally, or a Pro-shop like yours, but I have to drive a ways. I never raced any of my trucks before, at least not competitively. Alot of the kids around me ( and a few of their dad's ) have 1/10 scale nitro and electrics. We meet at the elementary school and just bash around.

I feel ya... For years, the closest shop was a 30-45 minute drive from here. So I used Tower for everything. Then, out of the blue, a track opened up literally 5 minutes from my house with a great pro shop.. It honestly takes longer to load up all my junk for raceday than it does to get to the track. Heaven!

Think about it, and choose your words a bit more carefully.

2 out of 4 rc websites spelt correctly, and 1 Chinese clothes distributor? Proof reading for the win.

Has the forum owner ever get the suggestion of auto locking posts that have not had a reply in over 1-2 years seeing they are generally so outdated, and always instill confusion when someone necro's them?

RE: Where do you order your RC parts?
Although a really really old thread, still meaningful info
I,ll add liquidrc.com the cheap shipping is nice if you don't need a lot and your lhs is out of stock
Although I have never ordered from them http://www.asiatees.com/ is a real hobby website

Not all hobby shops are rip-offs. Mine will meet and beat any price Tower or Horizon has and there is no shipping charge..

Exactly... my LHS is awesome, no mail order outfit can match what they do for me. Their prices are competitive and their service is excellent.

My LHS. I mean really, if you have a shop worth its own weight then they will gladly order what they don't have, and anything you get there is benifiting them. And most better shops will have parts for all but the unusual stuff (like Tamiyas! jk guys)

RE: Where do you order your RC parts?
i try to buy my cars from my hobby shop as they will usually match prices on largeritems and it supports the shop/trackbut i get alot of my parts from ebay stores. lots of good deals there and have not had any issues with any of the ebay rc stores in years. i try not to order from any store with less than 97 to 98% positive feedback. i get most of my batteries from hobbypartz, cheap cheap
