RE: British sports car, project.
What does the weight have to do with this?
I'm sorry if I irritate you but that is not my intention.
Here's how I think about this:
Your current setup is approximately 20kg with 5hp from the engine with your current exhaust pipe. Power to weight ratio would be 1hp to move 4 kilos = 0.25
The other setup would be 20,7kg with 8hp at least. Ratio would be = 0.386
Those numbers are only estimations but the impact of a tuned pipe to a 2-stroke is huge.
But anyway I will stop this subject now. It was only a question initially. Sorry.

Ok, good. I didn't want you would think I am offensive.
The deep sound you are getting originates only from your silencer. By usin that with tuned pipe you will still have that deep sound. The sound is like that only at idle and very low revs. I think that a high-winding two stroke sound is amazing, silenced or unsilenced.

You are right about silencer but I used 45 cc for only 4hp, to take a smooth power in less rpm than an 26 cc with 4 hp.
The difference between a 6000cc V8 and 3500cc V12.
Hope that explain better what I try to do.

From the get go, you stated this was to be your first vacuum body. But as it turned out, you couldn't do that. Is this your first fiberglass body? Either way, absolutely an incredibly detailed project you have created! Breathtaking.... Now to save up the cash to have one done in let's say 1972 Detamaso Pantera?????

Congratulations Vass,
I was thinking about the exact same thing what Mudgy wrote. In my opinion you are a world-class modeller and among the best and most skillfull that I know. Aston is a work of art and the result of patience and outstanding engineering.

Yes, its my first fiberglass work.
I change my mind about vacuum body because I had to 'destroy' car's shape .Vacuum cannt give the pure lines and you must customize the shape ( no deep intakes ++++ ).
