Can anyone confirm if Electron offer the electric brakes yet, hear many comments but yet to see one?

Hi Marc,
Electron Retracts will bring the electric brakes to JetPower 2012.
The electronic controller that pilots the ER-40 and ER-50 retracts is ready for the brakes, look for "electron rb-45".
I'm putting ER-50 retracts in my UltraLightning and they really work well moving the big and heavy Behotec legs with no effort.

I have an Ultra Flash on the way. I got a set of Electron retracts for it. It's the nicest retract units I have ever seen. Not to get the jet and see how they work.

Guys, any of you with some of these larger scale leading edge systems in operation, including retracts and electric brakes, please post some photos and where you purchased the items. I'm very interested. I've been using electric retracts in 9 pound models but nothing bigger yet.

Howdy Tom. I think the same thing about those Electrons. Machining, materials and overall design is very impressive. I wanted the Ultra Flash, but our local Jet expert suggested the PST Reaction as my first jet so thats what I got. I hope that the UF will be the 2nd jet. I'm hoping I can use the same retracts I got for the PST in the UF just by changing struts. If even that is necessary. I havent even powered my retracts up yet. I may do that this evening and try to get a vid to post.

Tom, you tried yours on the bench yet?

Anybody got any info on those reported Electron brakes?

I've been told that the brakes will be out in JetPower 2012 and that they will be sold complete with wheels.

Thanks for the video of the Electronic retracts,convinced me to buy a set of theese for my friend Ivve Hallbergs j-35 Draken,and I must say,
theese are by far the best retract mechanisms I have seen.
I have used in the past Robart,eurokit,spring air,vabo,UMStech and moore but this was something extra!
Expensive:Yes but I dont think it is more expensive then to buy pneumatic retracts and rebuild them.
If I could afford it,I would change my retracts in my L-39 to electron retracts,have to check the status in my piggybank...

Is there need to be single battery for retract mechanism or can be used the same battery from turbine ir receiver..?

In the draken above we are going to use 2x4000 mAh lipo in hardcase (for cars I think?) and 2 Bec taking from each lipo serving the reciever.
One lipo for the engine and retracts and the other one for the reciecer.
The weight was needed up front anyway so why not make it useful..
The figures I heard about mAh/per cycle are 400 but I find that hard to believe,we have to nearly stall the all the way in and out then..
Perhaps worst case scenario?

How did you made the logic scheme for the front gear door to close it after the gear is retracted?
With 10second delay I cant solve this...
I have GZ Electronic retract system and work perfectly but with this front door ....
On my MC24 I do not have any logic switch menu to do this.....

Looks like a nice setup. How do the main doors stay open. Are you using some kind of spring loaded hinges pushing the doors in open position?

Looks like a piece of piano wire is used as the 'spring' glued under some blocks in the wheel well, when the string is pushed up under the retracting wheel the wire force is overcome.

I have a Boomerang Sprint with a set of Pro-Link retracts in it. I would like to convert them to electric. Should I have them converted or would the Dreamworks Electron Retracts work. If I convert them what would be the best way to go?

Having already the pro-Link retracts would suggest you take a look at: www.e-retract.com/en/26-rs666 easy and very reliable solution at an affordable price.

Just finishing up a 67" long B-58 Hustler edf. Weight is about 8lbs. Have the Hobby King electric retracts with the 6" long F-14 style struts. Hobby King rates them at about 7-8 lbs. Have a RC Lander Mig-17 with the exact retracts. It weighs about 7-8 lbs. So we are fixin to find out if they hold or fold. If they fold I am going to be one pissed off ****. Wreck the Mig is one thing. Tweek my Hustler? Homey will be twisted
