K&B Boat engine
I have this K&B boat engine that I dont know what size it is! The only # on it is 05218 stamped on the mounting lug. Can any body tell me what size this is? Been on K&B sight and got no answer. THANKS!

RE: K&B Boat engine
The number on the mounting lug is a serial number, has nothing to do with what size it is. The size is on the side of the case above the mounting lug

RE: K&B Boat engine
K&B made inboard and outboard engines, there is pictures of them on the mecoa site:

http://www.mecoa.com/kb/marine/marine_outboard.htm
The older .21 inboard had a different induction(front intake instead of rear drum)but beside that there isn't much difference in layout.

RE: K&B Boat engine
The engine is an inboard and there are no other numbers on the case. I was on mecoa website and the ones they show have remote needles mine is in the carb. I have a picco p-80 that by setting them side by side the K&B is just a little bit larger in size. I will try and get a pic of the motor up tonight. THANKS!

RE: K&B Boat engine
Bigger than a Picco P80(I have one too)would have to be the K&B .91 from the early 90's with the old style carb. The crankcase and front end are one piece unlike the old K&B .45. Apicture would be most helpfull to identify it. The good thing with K&B is the ease of finding spare, unlike Picco,Rossi,OPS and OS!
