I love those shocks.   I haven't tried them but they look fantastic.  The body looks badass.

Those PowerStroke shocks do look really cool. And the body with it. Solid package.

Decided on a 5700 4pole. I'm mainly a roadrunner as that's allI havearound here. So it should be what I'm looking for. Get's here next week to replace my busted Flux 5700.

Nitro, I read that you use the carbon fiber chassis. Were there any major issues with installing it? Or just a swap parts kinda deal?

Building a list for my own build.

Also, I just found something quite interesting... I was parusing some different forums, and came accross a Slash thread where the guy used the RC Solutions extended a.arms. They add over an inch of width. (I'm on some kick about widening the stance of the Storm.) I compaired a friend's Slash arms to mine, and with just a tad bit of sanding, they'd work. So I'm wandering, if these might be the ticket I'm after.

CF chassis is a direct fit other than having to put spacers behind the rear body mounts to move them back a bit (likely what dark side did with his body).  My storm is a roadrunner now as well.  I'm running the 4600 now.

I'm new guys but I am friends with DarksideVR.

I just bought two firestorm's; one for me and one for the wife. The wife crashed into my car day one. Broke front turnbuckle. She crashed hers into a pole breaking it in half. Lower bulkhead, upper brace. All parts are coming to fix. I have mine up and running with temporary fixes and fixes from a friends parts drawer.

Just ordered the same shocks that Darkside is sporting!! Can't wait for those!

Will get some pics up after tonight's cleanup!

Peace.

Welcome to the forum.  I assume you have the new style firestorms with the sealed radio box?

I sold my last nitro today.  []

I'm thinking bout selling my nitro's as well.. So much of a hastle compaired to the electrics now. You can go just as fast, if not faster with the motor/battery tech now-a-days. Only thing non-electric I'm really saving for is a Baja 5B.

Thats what I've done.  The baja is my only fuel powered vehicle and its pretty minimal work to maintain.  Pull the started cord and go.  Its quite a beast to haul around.  I had mine out for the first time since last fall and first time out with the dominator pipe.

I think i mighta found a guy to buy my Ultra MBX, Hopefully anyway. I've got roughly half the money for the SS kit, just a bit more.

If I'd quit buying tools, I'd have more money lol.

if you have an air compressor you can blow a lot of stuff off. if you want the plastic to look new try some wd-40. try to wipe it dry before you drive the truck again. goodluck

You can grease the drive cups.  Its a brushless truck, there isn't much that can go wrong and there is very little to do.

I went for a great run tonight to a nearby (15min) private track.  Its located on a dairy farm.  I took a crummy video and will post a link once it finished uploading to youtube.  I paid a year membership and the track is open seven days a week from noon until dusk.  The owner seemed like a nice guy.  The track isn't overly technical but its fun and perfect for a crappy driver like me.

Here is the link to the video for anyone interested in seeing the track layout.  You can get an idea of the track layout and size from the three camera angles.  I had my buggy out before starting the camera but the body exploded on a crash landing so I got my truggy out.

Someone asked me to look at their e-firestorm.  Its one of the new ones.  The ESC has been switched to an SV2 and it just shows red the red light on the ESC.  I'm guessing it isn't bound but I haven't had time to check it out yet.

Picked up a freebie Novak Balistic 550 4.5T. Never put a 550 in this truck and had it work. Hooked it right up to the MMp and holy hell. Standing backflips. lol. Gotta gear it up.

Always wanted to try that set up in my Firestorm Wanna Be .....sounds awesome.
I'm so in love with my Baja 5bss,I have been spending about 200+ a week at DDM for the last month I just ordered a Turtle Racing complete clutch system,Front and Rear shock towers, DDM Dominator Fast Pipe 7500rpm clutch spring and a few other items. Might buy a motor from a local guy who sells hopped up 4 pole 7.5 hp polished engines for 550 Bucks soon.

Nitro did you make that track? all the tracks near me are at least 50 miles and filled with nerd *******s who have never seen a a women naked,so I'm convinced I'm going to have make my own track on some land my folks own outsides the city with no noise ordnance for the Baja "yes its as loud as a 150cc dirt bike" been busy clearing the land and have old tires my father had laying around for the outside ring. Going to try and get others to join me their.
