Just finished mine up today with the final touches, here's a few pics I took yesterday evening.

Ihope to maiden it on Tuesday, when the weather calms down. If it flies as good as it looks, I'll be very happy! It has a new Fox .15 and during the ground test I did today, it was turning 12,800 RPMon an 8x4 prop. Which is a little over 2 lbs of static thrust and the plane came out at about 2 lbs, 12 oz.

Mark

Nice job! Looks like it already wants to fly.
Thanks, Thailazer.

Icovered it in that evil Monokote stuff and had zero problems during the covering process. But don't tell anyone!

Mark

Thanks for the compliments, Bruce. She did come out nice.

Kinston, eh? I used to live in Greenville, NC when Itaught at ECU until 2003. Didn't fly RC then, but now I find out there are a lot of good clubs in the area. Oh well! My mom and sister both still live in New Bern, just down the road from you.

Maybe I'll locate a Cowboy 15 kit and build that also, to have bookends to fly.

Mark

Hey All,
I've been waiting to hear from you Mark on how she did on her maiden flight and if she flew as good as she looked it was GREAT... I also have a PDF of the Cowboy along with the Scout just send me a PM or E-Mail with where to send it and I'll hook you up with them. I don't want to post them here due to TOO many people trying to make you pay for something they got for nothing and that's just not right.
TTYL,
Bruce

Didn't get many comments during my Super Scout build and thought I would post it here. It kinda veered away from a true 2X build!

Had forgotten about this old thread on the Craftair Scout. Thanks to RCU member Fix-n-fly, I should have a kit in my hands today. Am thinking of duplicating all the parts when I build it to re-kit (restock) the box. Does anyone have a laser cutter that accepts a physical rib template to laser cut ribs?
