room in a vette? if your talking about a C3 mako like mine, FORGET ABOUT IT! this car has less cabin space than a miata, a delsol a s2000 you name it, the way they got the flares to look so huge is they shrunk down the center of the car as if it was wearing a corset. head room is fine, leg room is no better than a civic, i can touch the outside of the door on the passenger side without leaning over.

narrowest interior i have ever been in. call me crazy but i like that feeling, it makes me feel safe, airy interiors make me feel vulnerable..

So any plan for mod for the car? (other than the exhaust you mentioned) Do the police there crack down on mods and such?
No, they don't even care if you change the displacement, it's very lax over here in that regard.

I have no immediate plans for mods except a nice exhaust and some nicer rims, maybe a filter and maybe some mild lowering springs (Eibach do a set of springs that only lowers 3/4" which is fine to make the rims fill the arches better and doesn't have a huge impact on ride quality).

That may change though, they say this car becomes properly insane with a bolt on rotrex supercharger kit. All of a sudden you have it all, low displacement, high torque, high RPM, high HP. I think that might be fun. 350hp or so in a family hatch.

I am looking for some seat mounts that lower the driving position though, I feel like I'm sitting on the car rather than in it (a common complaint from motoring journalists about this car), I think BuddyClub make some of those.

A friend at Germany said that they are pretty strict about mods there.. the police would stop you and check and if the parts are not TUV approved, they would actually not let you go until you get the parts and swap them out.. seems quite extreme.. so when he ships his Harley there, he has to make sure all the parts (exhaust, etc.) are those of TUV approved, etc.

What year is the VW, TBJ?

When I went to the VW dealer, the sales guy told me that the 2.5L inline-5 is 1/2 of the Lambo V10.. so I told him that I didn't realize Gallardo only makes 340hps..
It's an '07...and until '10 they only made 150 hp

It's a fun little car...has a cool sound to it.

The guy says "it's fine, a bit crunchy in reverse." lol, we'll see. I got it for a steal so I can always sell it on if it's just too much.

LOL.. yeah, 6 pucks might be fine.. less # will be harder engagement.. but for your car's purpose, since you are not drag racing it, and the engine doesn't make a lot of torque anyway, you probably don't need any crazy setup on the clutch department.. !

Quattro/AWD? Hatchback, sedan, or wagon? I like the Quattro hatchback.

It's a Turbo Quattro sedan. I don't like the wagon version of it, the back is too angled for my tastes.

I should be getting it this weekend so I'll post some then. For 1000 dollars it looks to be in excellent shape.
