rear carb

RE: rear carb
Well, that's a loaded question. First of all, to put a carb on the rear of an engine, a reed valve (or a rotary valve) is necessary, and a reed valve is restrictive, and doesn't necessarily give you "best power". Secondly, the engine has to be a cantilever crank design with no rear bearing in the way of where one would naturally put a carb and reed valve. (One could put one on the crankcase, but this almost always causes "packaging/engine compartment" problems. Thirdly, most of the popular engines marketed as purpose built engines for R/C use, such as DLE, DA, etc., DO use a reed valve/rear carb setup.
